Does this school accept updates? ( as in recent grades and a first author science publication)
As the previous post said, they do after interview. However, Mr. Rosso also mentioned this:
"Feel free to send us any updates that you want us to have. However, they will not impact the decision making at all. Best regards.
Mr. Rosso"
Congrats! When did you interview? For the love of god, this never ends...
I just saw your celebration in one of your post lol. I thought you just got accepted.?
umm back in Feb
oh lol, I got accepted about 3 weeks back at buffaloI just saw your celebration in one of your post lol. I thought you just got accepted.
Not sure if this has been posted yet, but here is the current class schedule including exam dates. I thought it was very helpful (and comforting--ha!) to see that typically there is only 1 exam on any given week. The only exception is a clinical skills final that is on the same day as the Urinary Tract & Renal System final.
This is only for Spring semester and I am unable to find the Fall schedule. Hopefully it has a similar exam schedule!

Has anyone been sent the temporary password to activate their UBITName acct?
They said shortly. Don't know what happened. Btw speaking to students, some blocks end on Fridays so we'll have that whole weekend free before new material starts. That's awesome, in addition to the one exam thing. I imagine once we can use the ub system we'll get all that info about orientation and what notHas anyone been sent the temporary password to activate their UBITName acct?
Yeah actually I just emailed Mr. Rosso about this...orientation starts on August 11th.On a related note, does anyone know when the first day of orientation is?

Anyone here interviewed on February 26th and got a status update on the website or an email from Rosso?
I interviewed on that day and still haven't seen or heard anything. It's a good thing that staying poolside all of yesterday and today (spring break!) kept me from wanting to check my phone every 10 minutes.

Guys, I withdrew, so I hope that April 2nd slot goes/has gone to one of you! When I'm being realistic, the ice and snow is not for me.
Good luck!
Good luck!
I called and found out that last Wednesday's committee meeting was pushed to this Wednesday because of the inclement weather, so fellow Feb 26 interviewees should hear back on Thursday.
EDIT: Accepted!

I came across this old website/forum made by UB med students that has some really great info on classes. It hasn't been updated for awhile so I'm not sure how accurate the info is but I found it interesting nonetheless!

I got an email about it only a few days after the acceptance. I'd call to make sure!
Yea I'll do that. Maybe it went to my spam folder.
Let us know what you find out!
Does UB post the match list of the current MS4s?

Wish they would list it by speacialty and not by name, easier to see the numbers and where most ppl are matching in that specialty. List looks good, see some plastic and derm

Can anyone describe the intensity level of the interviews at UB? Were they laid back or stressful? Were the interviewers nice or did they try to trip you up?

They were generally laid back and the interviewers wanted to hear your story more than test your ability to cope with stress and your knowledge on healthcare. Think more conversation than interview! You'll be fine bro

Not a current student but I have several friends who are. Most of them live in the Elmwood Village or Allentown area - decidedly the best parts of Buffalo. Those neighborhoods are closer to the hospitals than the med school, but they are much nicer than University Heights which is the neighborhood right by the school. Either way, you can get to the med school via car, bike or the metro pretty easily. Luckily, even the best parts of Buffalo are cheap to live in...Can any current UB students comment on housing? Is there anywhere to live that you can just wake up and be in class a few minutes later? Is there any common place that medical students live?
Let us know what you find out!
So i called in today and got my one time password sent a few minutes later. Its possible it was sent to my spam or I deleted it. If you haven't received it just call

Quick question, what can you access when you finally get into your ub account? Is it like anything important like financial or immunization information?

I haven't had time to fully explore the site but from what I saw it has email and blackboard like page. Crap load of links to class schedule, financial aid stuff, housing, etc.

I got an interview invite to UB this morning too...but I'm out of the country until June. Can any current students or people who've interviewed there think of a compelling reason, aside from tuition, to take a 12 hour flight back? I've already been accepted to a few other schools I'd be happy at.

Looks like another day of incessantly checking my status for the infamous "non-accept".......
Not really. If you already are accepted elsewhere and are happy I wouldn't bother interviewing anywhere else.I got an interview invite to UB this morning too...but I'm out of the country until June. Is there anything to fill out for financial aid besides the FASFA? Note: I'm not accepted yet but I just want to stay on top of things.

Mr. Rosso told me that explicitly when I sent one in.Can anyone show me where it says pre-II updates and letters of interest are not allowed? Or am I mistaken?
[Johnamo],
We can only use this update if you are invited for an interview. We will see what happens.
Mr. Rosso

You can tell them... they just won't consider it unless you get an interview based off of your primary/secondary application. Or maybe they'd make an exception for you. 😉ok i guess i won't tell them i won the nobel prize then
Finally got a rejection letter.
