Hey HL816 what are your stats and when in the first week of December did you interview? And what exactly did the email say?
Accepted this morning via mail. Interviewed on October 21st.

Thank you on both accounts!! The envelope was post-marked 1/21; I'm curious as to why it took 4 days to get to me considering I live on Long Island.
I'm interviewing at Downstate on the 4th. Super excited, this is my top choice and also most likely my last chance to get in anywhere before the end of this cycle.
Does anyone have an idea of when the day would be over if I interview at 9:30 AM? I'm trying to pick some buses and I don't want to rush myself if I know I'll be around for most of the day.
Also, anyone have any tips or advice for their interview? I'm hoping it goes really well.

I interviewed at downstate 1st week of december. And today I received an aamc background check saying a medical school has waitlisted or conditionakly accepted me. I havent heard from downstate yet (and other schools ive interviewed at wont be coming to decision until later). What does this mean?!
Have you been accepted by any other schools? I didn't get that email until over a month after I was accepted at a school that required that

Me too! It could pretty much only be Downstate for me as well, my other interviews were too recent. Hoping for some good news for the both of us 🙂

Didnt get an acceptance email yet, but I got one from global health congratulating me on my acceptance. Interviewed 12/05. GPA:3.99 MCAT 36 and IS.

I didn't apply for MD/MPH, but I did indicate a very strong interest in global health on my application. The email is basically just an invitation to some global health related events.

It says in the certiphi email that they send it to accepted and wait listed students... Probably not what you wanted to hear 🙁

In the email from certiphi, it states:
"You have received this email because you have been waitlisted or conditionally accepted by one or more of the medical schools participating in the AAMC-facilitated program for performing criminal background checks on conditionally accepted applicants and waiting list applicants. "
Right, haha from what I know from my friends who were waitlisted and not accepted last yr they did not recieve such email. Im hoping downstate specifically does not request this from people waitlisted. Schools do it differently obviously.
I haven't heard that happening to people who were waitlisted either so if you got that email at this point, I going to say its very good news

Got my acceptance the mail yesterday (1/28, big manilla envelope). It was postmarked 1/27. The acceptance letter was dated 1/24.
I'm OOS, but am currently living in NYC (where it the letter was mailed). I interviewed 12/11.

I received the email on 1/27, the same date my acceptance was postmarked.
