I know how you feel. I interviewed right before thanksgiving and my interviewer checked off the "accept immediately" box for me so I felt really good but now that other people have heard back who interviewed after me, I'm feeling a bit nervous
 
don't know if there is another thread for this already but is anyone by chance doing the MPH dual also and starting in June? I really haven't gotten much information regarding orientation, reg. etc.
 
Just got an "on hold for spring review" email, and pretty bummed about it... anyone know what the stats are for getting in off that list? From what I've heard it's basically about as good as a rejection.
 
well, I just got placed on "Hold for Spring Consideration" via email. GPA>3.6 from top LAC with strong upward trend (4.0 senior year), MCAT>39, 2nd author publication, great interview with the interviewer checking off "accept immediately". I'm really not trying to sound arrogant but I'm not really sure what happened here. For other people who were put on hold, did the signature have a bunch $$$$$ after it says sincerely?

EDIT: Oh, forgot to add that I interviewed back at the very end of November in case anyone was wondering. And I was pretty bummed when I wrote my post but I realized I forgot to say Good Luck to everyone else waiting to hear back. Hopefully you hear better news than I did!

wow those stats and the accept immediately and yet they still wait list you smh. Maybe they want money for better results 😉? probably means nothing tho. Hoping to get news soon myself. hopefully good news
 
so looking last 2-3 pgs it seems thursday/friday = hold/reject. Certiphi email on monday = acceptance next day or so. Although variations are likely to occur

Website says they do hold then review app late spring and if your not accepted or rejected, then you get placed on alt waitlist. More waiting after that

And I wonder the same thing too.
Interviewed 12/16 and surprised we got the same Hold for Spring :/
 
No news yet but with this wave, looks like I'm headed there as well 🙁
 
Ditto 🙁 interviewed 12/11. Afraid that im gonna go home to a waitlist letter...

They don't waitlist via mail. I'm hoping we get accepted since we survived the waitlist email. Unless we get rejected via mail, they've done that before. Ahh this wait is killing me.
 
What is "late spring" by their definition?

It seems based on previous years threads that it varies from March-April, but mostly May.

For us December/November interviewees that were put on "Hold for Spring Consideration", when do you think we're gonna hear back, especially if we were pigeon-holed in February?

So is there a "waitlist" that is separate from the "on hold for spring review"? Or is that simply Downstate's version of a waitlist?

Downstate puts all students that were not accepted or rejected on "hold for spring consideration." Around april/may these applicants are reviewed again and either accepted later on, rejected or placed on an alternate list (waitlist).

Any recent interview invites? I've been on hold for Spring consideration for quite some time now.
 
How do people know what their interviewer check marked you as-- they tell you afterwards? Interviewing beginning of March

Mine had the sheet out in front of me and felt comfortable enough to share his evaluation with me. I don't think they usually do that though

My interviewer was very nice, but he certainly did not share his evaluation with me. But that is probably because I was a nervous babbling wreck for the first 10 minutes of my interview. I think I recovered and spoke more complete english during the last 20-25 minutes but I sure hope I didn't blow it.
 
Has anyone heard anything recently? I interviewed 12/10 and silence since then. I'm hitting the 10 week mark soon.
