To those of us who have been extremely fortunate to receive 10 or more interview invites: does anyone have any thoughts on the maximum number of interviews that one can/should reasonably attend? I applied to too many(20) sites (but they are all great fits, and I'd be happy to match at any of them), and am now struggling with juggling a crazy interview schedule. I think 12 might be my maximum number, but I chose that number arbitrarily. Any more, and I am afraid I won't be able to interview well because I'll be too tired. Plus, I'm not sure I can afford it, but as others have said, going on a crazy number of interviews is cheaper than the cost of applying again if you don't match! Given that all the sites I applied to are great fits, I don't know how to choose which to attend and thought I might eliminate those most expensive to travel to, but am not sure that that is the best way to make this decision. Any thoughts?
And to those who are not happy with the number of interviews they received: I, like many others, know many applicants who matched with only 2 interviews, and also know others who have failed to match with 7-10 interviews. So, just ace the ones you've got and you may actually be better off!
