They are not. I did my practium there though and if I weren't moving to NYC I would go back. Loved every minute of it.
I spoke too soon. Finally got a message today. A rejection (generic email) from Duke CAPS. On to the next..!
I think the increase in the number of sites that haven't notified already is mainly due to Hurricane Sandy and the delay in application deadlines that resulted. Many of the sites we are waiting on had posted their notifications by this time last year, and some of those sites extended their deadlines. I also think that most of these sites are getting even more applications than they got last year, which was way more than the year before, due to the imbalance. I take their longer time in notifiying us as that they are taking their time to be thorough and read the applications. Hang in there, we're almost through this part! 😀

Ive done that 3 times so far... It seems as soon as I ask about one, I get an answer.
Non-personalized email rejection from Cornerstone Behavioral Health in Evanston Wy. Dang nabbit I was hoping to get an interview at that one.

Anyone heard from FMC-Lexington yet? It is my last BOP site to hear from and I really just want some closure at this point😱
He wanted to clarify about my program's assessment training... I come from a PhD program where our transcripts are not super helpful as to what we actually learned 😀

Yes thankfully, I got Duke, Primary Children's in Utah and Vanderbilt, and WJCS all for forensic rotations/child maltreatment.

That's awesome! I don't have any with forensic/trauma-specific tracks, but La Rabida has a maltreatment rotation and UCDavis CAARE is 100% maltreatment, and most of the others have a high foster care population or include specialized, trauma-informed practice like TF-CBT 🙂 Didn't get PCMC, which was a bummer, but super glad you did...good luck with the rest!

Is anybody who is interviewing on the afternoon of January 23rd for the generalist program available to switch dates to January 17th or 18th? A friend is having a scheduling conflict and would be very appreciative if she could make it there for the 23rd. Please PM if you think you can switch.
Has anyone heard from WVU-Morgantown re the neuropsych track? I know someone recently got a call about the adult track, but I still haven't heard anything from the neuropsych track. Just waiting on that and one other site!
Thank you so much SRS psych! I thought about LaRabida but in the end some of their supplemenals were a little overwhelming. I wanted to apply out West in California but couldn't afford the travel. I am so excited for you! That is wonderful. Hopefully we both fall in love with one or more of our sites!

Email invitation to Purdue University CAPS. Sent by generic email with attachment. Phone interviews beginning week of Jan 2. Will be scheduled using online system. Finally! An invite after a string of rejections.
I got one too--totally feel you. I think they got close to 500 applications though!

I was sent an email from WVU Charleston a few days ago (Sunday) asking me to prioritize my interview dates, and have heard nothing back since then. If I'm not getting an interview, that's a really mean tease. Anyone heard anything?
Someone in my program was invited on Monday. I hope that helps and doesn't make you worry more

I did get MUSC but I didn't get Duke and it looks like we have similar interests and applied to a lot of the same sites. As my professor said - when you get an offer at a top place like (fill in the appropriate blank) it means that nothing is wrong with your application it is just down to random factors because this is an extremely competitive process.

I'm interviewing at MUSC, Mailman, Lurie, Children's Hospital of LA, LSU, Texas Child Study Center, University of New Mexico HSC
That is great! I am still waiting to hear back from LSU and Mailman. At this point I am assuming it will be a rejection, but holding out hope. GOOD LUCK!! I am sure you will do great.
I got a phone call inviting me for an interview for the Neuropsych track at WVU Morgantown on Tuesday.
Me too 👎 I was really kinda surprised by this no-go. Haven't heard from very many counseling centers yet. Hope to hear good news, but I'm afraid that I may not hear anything from the ones I'm waiting for. I'm waiting to get news from five more...

That's awesome. These are great sites to choose from. It sounds like you were really able to articulate fit! I struggled with MUSC and Vandy because I don't have child experience (just lots of adolescent) and my adult experience wasn't as relevant for them. I got Oklahoma, Medical College of GA, and a few other med centers for forensic and then some BOPs. My husband said no on WJSC, Western State, and Tulane because of expense and cost of living, etc. (we have kiddos) 🙁 and I didn't look at children's sites because of my lack of child training....but I should have totally applied for the adolescent program at Primary Children's. I should have looked closer. Utah is so beautiful...
Group hug for all the forensic/maltreatment folks! 😍 I am the only one in my program applying to these types of positions, so SDN has been very helpful for me. One more day, except that one of my sites said it might be the 17th...😴
