Whew, I needed this after receiving several rejections. Dates are Jan 3rd, 8th, 9th, and 15th, various times.

Question: The person that sent me an email appears to be a "program support specialist" but it said "on behalf of Dr. ____", I'm nervous about addressing it to the wrong person. It doesn't seem as if she should be addressed Dr. ____ as her signature doesn't note that she is one. Is "Ms. _____" sufficient?

I don't think that you're over-thinking it at all. It's important to address people correctly. 🙂 I would double-check the person's name, if you can, through the site's website and then go from there. I just got a similar email, and that helped to relieve my anxiety. I also used "Ms." after double-checking. Congrats on the interview!!!
 
So, I received an interview from Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital (ABBHH) in Chicago and the date that I would be available to interview is January 21st. However, that interview date is full and I had to accept January 9th (Not ideal in the slightest).

Is there anyone who has received an interview from ABBHH on January 21st that would be willing to swtich interview days with me????

I've been lurking on this thread for awhile and finally decided to post. I want to say thanks to all of you for creating such a supportive atmosphere on this thread. It is so wonderful to see applicants supporting each other through this very difficult process.

I was wondering whether anybody has heard from RAMS or Hudson Valley VA. I can't wait for these few days to be over!

I got a rejection from Hudson Valley VA a week or so ago.

My friend also hasn't heard from RAMS, so I don't think they've sent out invites or non-invites yet.

I am still waiting to hear from RAMS as well, so hopefully at this point no news is good news but the waiting is killing me! Good luck 🙂
 
Email for an interview with Houston Independent School District (Non-personaized). Dates are January 9,10, 15, and 16th
 
I feel like my email must be broken...of course ignoring the fact that I'm getting emails from everyone BUT internship programs...
 
Phone call for a phone interview (first two weeks of January) from the DCT at Purdue University!
 
Is it normal that I have not heard from 11 sites? I am starting to feel very inadequate and nervous😕
 
Just received a non-personalized rejection from Tulane. I am disappointed, I was really hoping for an interview there.

I completely agree! I am compulsively refreshing my e-mail and SDN, but I feel like there is something wrong after getting so much news yesterday! Here's to us having a positive and action filled afternoon, maybe?

I am also waiting on 11 sites...out of all of them only 3 or 4 have sent out invites or rej (at least, what I've seen on here).

I applied to a lot of community MH centers....and if I know CMHCs, it's they always wait until the last minute. Just the nature of the beast I guess.

Hang in there. It is so true that all it takes as one. A quick story...Last year, a good friend of mine had a snafu with her APPI and only had one interview and it was at a tough VA. She was from another PhD program and in our practica a few of our applicants had 8-10 interviews. She came to work as they flew around the country. Everyone was afraid to say anything. Through it all, she remained so positive and kept saying - "all ya need is one." The day before match she was doing great but it eventually got the best of her, we allowed her a few libations at lunch and sent her home early. Then she matched. She was such a great example of maintaining a positive attitude. Her advice to me was: FIT. Look at what you have and what they want, and assess based on fit and that's it. I think I benefited from a lot of lab members who went before me giving me their thoughts on that.

I would not stress until the notification date on your sites has passed. Any stress before that is pure speculation, even in cases where invites or non-invites have already been extended.
 
Received University of Michigan Counseling Center interview invite via phone call this morning. Several dates in second and third week for a 45 min phone interview.

I'm still waiting on the Western NY VA and Canandaigua VA. I think the notification date for Canandaigua isn't until 12/20. Have you heard anything new about their accreditation status?

Personalized email rejection. It was my third site (in order of rankings). Received an invite for my second site and still waiting on my first site!!! Good luck everyone!
 
Very nice personalized rejection from musc. Noted poor fit....and I knew that so expected. Congrats to those that interviewed!
 
Just received a personalized rejection letter from MUSC. Now down to 4 to hear from. Some rejections do not make sense. It was a great fit. but guess I have to keep looking forward.
 
Semi-personalized rejection from Charleston Consortium Internship Program/MUSC....that was actually a surprised (I hadn't heard anything when others have received invites, but they were doing rolling notifications and I thought I was a great match....turns out: "the Review Committee concluded that there was an insufficient match between our program and your training goals" ...smh)

Still waiting on 2 more (Saint John's CF Dev. Ctr & Children's Hosp Boston)

10 interviews, 8 rejections...not complaining overall!

Possibly review cover letter/essays to ensure you emphasized how good of a fit you were? Sometimes it may be random/sites looking for anything to narrow the pile.

On another note, has anyone heard from Bronx VA?
 
Generic invite for Geocare/South Florida State Hospital yesterday. Interviews are Mondays and Wednesdays in January

I am still waiting on 10 sites and also have not heard a peep yet today. Trying to stay optimistic, but it sure would be nice to know either way 😛

I am still waiting on 7 sites but I know some have sent out both invites and rejections. Techically their dates are until th 15th. How are others handling this? I do not want to call/e-mail ahead of time, but I have been waiting to make finalized travel plans until I know for sure what my interviews are going to look like.

Nope, but honestly it does not bother me because I love the program and because it's a VA it will allow you to work and have a post doc in VA's even if its not APA, which is what I want to do. Hopefully prior to rank they get approved this way I can move it up on the list IF I get an interview.

I really worked on that this year & had them reviewed by advisor for that purpose....I have also heard that type of program can really come into play (being a school psychology student myself) and MUSC does not have a high preference for or track record with matching SP students...? I'll never know what factors determine final cuts...I can only be happy with the interviews I got 🙂 Thank you for the advice though! :highfive:

I completely understand. My cover letters and essays discussed my goals of working in child maltreatment and my experiences are aligned with that. I specifically applied to the maltreatment track. Not sure how I could have had more aligned training goals.

I know I asked yesterday, but has anyone heard from the Northern CA Internship Consortium (Sutter Center for Psychiatry)?
I had a friend receive a "screening call for an interview" but I have not heard a single thing, and they are my top site.
It is totally and completely driving me insane! :scared:
Has anyone heard of sites doing pre-interview invitation screening calls with the TD?
 
Personalized rejection email from NYU-Bellevue (Forensic Track). Super bummed about that one. I'm sure they're swamped but it would have been nice if the TD had bothered to remove the "Mr./" before typing in my name after "Ms."

Ditto! Weird, but it is what it is...did you get any cool trauma/maltx focused sites?
