Congrats on all of those interviews, as of thus far!
I have a silly (and somewhat frantic) question.
I am attempting to apply to my final site, the Sullivan Center for Children (Fresno, CA) and sadly when I went to designate them and send off my application, they are nowhere to be found.
I attempted to search by site number and name, but I was not able to find them to send off my application.
Nowhere in their training manual, member profile or website do they state that they are not an internship site for the coming year.
Did anyone else find them and apply?
Did I miss a memo, somewhere?

Nevermind... Just saw the APPIC Match News that they withdrew... Bummer.

Has anyone heard anything about the White River Junction VA in VT? They're my top site and notified folks on 11/23 last year. I know things got pushed back a bit due to the hurricane, but wondering if anyone has heard whispers...

It's December, folks! 14 days and counting (for most sites)!! :whoa:

White River Junction is not in CT.... It is in VT... Besides that I havn't heard either 🙂

I am in denial 🙁 Other coping mechanisms: Hulu, music, running, and reading Calvin and Hobbes.

2 interviews, 2 rejections, 14 more to go
 
Anyone heard either way from the Univ of Oklahoma Health Science Center? Looks like they sent out invitation on 11/16, and their deadline is today, but I haven't heard anything yet. (I applied to both the neuropsych and VA funding sources).
 
I received an invitation from UC Merced yesterday (11/30) via personalized email to interview via phone call during the first two weeks of January.

Is anyone who is slated to interview at Cherokee Health systems on 1/14 able to switch to 1/11? I know this is a long shot, but they only offered 2 days and I can not do 1/11 at all 🙁.

what do you guys make of not hearing from a site either way yet when others have interview offers? would you take that as a rejection is soon coming? or what?
 
I received a personalized email from University of Puget Sound last night. Interviews (Skype or phone) are from January 3rd to the 18th. 🙂

2x I have heard from a site significantly later than when the 1st interviews went out, so i say don't give up.

the thing is, there is no standard way internship interview invites are decided on or how notifications go out. at some sites, materials are split up among faculty and the faculty has the power to send out invites themselves. this will of course lead to seriously rolling invites. at other sites faculty get stacks of apps and makes recommendations but then as a group they meet, debate, and invites are decided on. this may or may not lead to rolling invites--they may meet several times, inviting each time, or it may all be one meeting in which case it is not rolling. at some sites, the head of the program goes through every single app and makes final decisions (wild but true). and i'm sure there are more permutations, these are examples i know about for sure.

thanks for the input. that's what i was thinking, but it's the not-knowing and variability that can drive someone nuts! just taking it one day at a time. happy that i have one invite already!
 
I just re-read the internship brochure for this program, and it sounds like we will need to schedule phone interviews with the training director and faculty members of interest, rather than being contacted for an interview by them. So does that mean that essentially everyone gets interviewed by them? This seems really different from what most sites do, so I just wanted to make sure I'm not completely missing something.

(This is what they say: "If for any reason you do not visit our program, your application will not suffer as a result. However, if you do not visit, it is important that if you wish to train here that you contact me and faculty in your area of interest, at the addresses noted, to discuss the program and have your questions answered.")
 
Got a personalized interview invite to heart of america - royal oaks hospital. Interview is december 14- So soon !!
 
Just heard from a cohort mate that Holcomb Behavioral Health Systems (Exton, PA) sent out a general email invitation on 11/20. In-person interview dates are 1/14, 1/15, and 1/18.

Two people from my program have interviews there (one VA and one Medical Center/Neuro).
 
Just got a phone call from the TD at UC Berkeley Counseling Center to set up a phone interview!! Phone interview dates offered were Dec. 12th - 19th and then again in mid January.

I am also interested in knowing this information. I don't see where it was posted in the thread- I only see that the master list was updated to include CHOP. Thanks!! 🙂

I have not heard anything, but applied on 11/9 and applied to the School Based Track. How about you? (I know your question was for the individual who received the interview, but I am just wondering if they only sent out invites for one track)

I also applied to School-Based Track and have not heard anything. The brochure says the interviews are on different dates so that may mean they send about invitations at different times...

It was not track specific, referred overall to the Psychology Internship Training Program, and wasn't personalized. Hope that helps!

Argh dying to hear from them. So many of the other nearby midwestern VA's have extended invites, would be so great to know either way for travel planning!
 
So LAS*Pic said we would be notified by latest today of our interview status. Has anyone else experienced sites notifying them after their actual deadline that is posted?
 
For Puget Sound--which branch was it? Tacoma or Seattle? I've received an invite to go to the Open House for Seattle, but haven't heard anything from Tacoma yet.

FYI- Hamm Clinic in Minneapolis just sent out an email alerting applicants that they are pushing back their notification date from 12/15 to 12/19 as they are preping for an APA site visit within the next week... was such a tease seeing that email waiting for me!!

Someone in my program is currently an intern here and said the program had it's deadline extended to either Monday or Tuesday. No one in my program has head from LAS*pic yet, so I'm assumg they really did extend their notification deadline.

It'd be nice if they'd sent out a freaking email about it so we can enjoy our Saturday!

Their notification deadline has been changed. I haven't had any confirmation directly from the program, just through an intern that's there. I don't think anyone has heard from them!
 
Generic invitation to Oklahoma Health Consortium received today. Interview dates will be set via email (by rank ordering preferred dates and the 2 sites where you'd like to interview at). Wasn't expecting a Saturday invitation so I wasn't compulsively checking my email today.. what a nice surprise!

Haha, I can't help but agree! I think it's amazing that you all have so many interviews but I wish that was my problem as well! I've only gotten one interview and 2 rejections at this point. Even if I do get more interviews I'll have even less time to coordinate them than those who are doing it all weeks in advance. Too bad there's no APPIC discount on flights. 😛

I think that this person is referring to a counseling center or medical school, not the VA Puget Sound. I have yet to hear from the American Lake VA (in Tacoma) as well. :xf:
 
Guidestone in OH said in the APPIC site that they would let applicants know one way or the other by Dec 1st (a saturday). Do I email Dec 2nd to ask why I haven't heard or give them all of Monday and email Monday night?

Thanks for any opinions
 
An email sent tomorrow may not be read and/or responded to until Monday, so I would probably just wait (as difficult as it is!)
 
Received my first interview notification from the Louisiana School Psychology Consortium on December 1st at 11:45pm. Interview dates are Dec. 10, 14 and January 7, 14. Sigh of relief as I had received 3 rejections prior to this email🙂
