General mass email invitation - interview days 1/7 and 1/14 from 8:15 a.m. to 3:00 p.m
Well...no news today. Still waiting on 14 more. 
GOOD LUCK, everyone, in the final stretch! Sending lots of warm wishes and happy, positive "Give interviews out like candy (but only to folks on SDN)" vibes. 
+1! I read that post and wondered when sites started posting updates directly to SDN. I'm not quite sure whether or not that would be awesome indeed.

How often has it been the case that invites go out, you don't hear from the site, but then get an invite later? I've seen a few sites I'm waiting on have sent out invites but I haven't gotten any rejections from them. I'm trying to keep positive but I also don't want to be getting my hopes up!!

OK - so I had to do MAJOR editing as I'm over characters... 😱 but this will not last long as the majority of sites have NOT yet responded. 😕
So, I'll leave "Invitations for Interviews" on Page 1, Post 1 and move "Invitations not Extended" to Page 1, Post 10 -

I think I have about three that I'm waiting on that have extended invitations already.

The only thing I heard today were crickets as well 🙂 I do like crickets better than "regrets" though..Waiting on a nice whole number ..10! I want them to roll in slowly...

Would it make sense to post the list separately, such as on a blog/website? The original post could link to the page and/or could include the most recent updates only.

It's very easy to start a blog. For example, you could start one with wordpress: http://wordpress.com/
or blogger: http://www.blogger.com (blogger uses a google account)
Or, I could set one up if you like and give you the information. It would even be possible then to have multiple people do updates.
It's not hard at all, but of course there would be good reasons to stick within the thread as well.

Received a phone call from them about 6 pm eastern time. Interview dates were January 7th or 9th. GOOD LUCK!!

Thank you nyprincess for all that you've done!!! You're amazing and we all REALLY appreciate it! I'm sure it must be such a time suck in the midst of everything else...but what a help it is to all of us obsessing over notifications

Last night I was posting about having a really rough day, and today I got 2 invites in a row from a couple of faves. For those who are struggling, keep your hopes up! Things can change in a moment. Thanks to everyone for being so supportive. Night all 🙂

Got my first rejection from Eastern Virginia! Yay! I have been extremely blessed with receiving 11 invitations thus far, and I am completely humbled and honored to be doing so well in this part of the process (we'll see how the match goes-lol). But, for those of us who don't have the funds to go traveling around the country, negotiating scheduling issues on barely a moments notice...rejections are welcome!

I'm trying to keep my spirits up and believe that all it takes is one good interview. I remind myself that last year in my program someone only had two interviews and matched, while probably the most qualified guy in our program had 12 interviews and did not match. So I'm sitting here with my 1 interview to date, hoping that the next week brings some good news from some of my remaining 10 sites. Honestly, if all 15 of my sites would have extended invitations it would have hurt financially, but I would have found a way to make it to every interview possible. The expense of interviewing is minor in comparison to spending yet another year in grad school. Moving on with my life has a lot of value that can't be measured in dollars and cents.
That happened in our program too! Guy had 2 interviews, matched at top choice overall. Another had 11 interviews and didn't match in phase 1 or 2. It's just hard to get past feeling like the number of interviews is a reflection of your worth as a candidate. There are clearly too many variables involved in this whole process to make any real sense of it.
I can definitely understand... this is my second time and it has been a painful reality, however I am just working full-time now and waiting, as all of my academic requirements are complete. It is a hassle to have to defer loans, and find a way to support yourself (i.e., income, health care) in this "in-between" stage.. But in the end something has to give. So far, 1 interview, 3 rejections and 13 pending... hoping for the best so my life can begin!

Applied last year- shot way too high considering my program's status at that time and my dissertation status at the time.
Now, dissertation is getting very close to being done, I'm working full time, bored, 3 invites (2 VA, 1 total backup) and waiting on 8. It'll work out though...
I received a rejection of my application last night from Tewksbury. It was personalized and it was written very kindly. I had applied to the dmh/dph track.

Generic rejection for Montefiore/Albert Einstein (Adult track). Cited record number of apps received this year. (Congrats to you, gradstudent3!!). I had expected this rejection, as I thought it was a long shot. Now at 4 interviews, 2 rejections, 14 more to hear from.

Eeek! So Boston just got back to me to let me know I'm scheduled to interview on December 12th...five days to plan! Anyone else in the same boat?
