Yale - Big institution with prominent general name and a lot of prominent faculty members including Bolognia. Research is heavily emphasized (we even had to present on the interview day) but almost all of the research is basic science and in immunology so that could be a limitation. Well-rounded with no major deficit including having peds derm for instance and lots of CTCL. I am interested in path and this program has a strong presence in it. New Haven is not as bad as I thought but definitely not a place I would want to be. Residents seemed happy from my limited interaction but I have heard that the program can be demanding on their residents. Overall a strong place, maybe not as strong as other places except in certain areas but carries a name everyone knows.
