Is this the week we hear about possible acceptances?
The classes in the past have had more men than women, but the admissions team worked hard to make the numbers even and my class (class of 2018) is the first to have equal parts men and women (21 of each)! Looking forward to meeting some of you this Friday at the admissions mixer 🙂 I recommend business casual dress.
Do you by any chance know if all of the calls will be sent out today? Or if it's spread over multiple days?
Just so I know when I should and shouldn't be anxious.

Accepted!!!I was actually up working all night and was asleep when I got the call, so it caught me completely off guard to say the least. Hands down the best news I've ever woken up to!

I interviewed last week. What a lovely school. I hope pouring my heart into a thank-you letter will help at least a little bit! The wait until January is going to be brutal...
I'm hoping to upload an update letter on the secondary page, pre II, but I'm having trouble accessing the page where I am able to upload a document. Has anyone sent in an update? Any information is appreciated.
So I just wanted to see what you guys thought. I'm a border-line MCAT applicant with some good ECs, clinical experience, and GPA but no research. I just got an email today to complete the secondary even though I've been complete since late July. Do you guys think it's worth it to do the secondary this late in the game? I have one acceptance and 2 IIs already, so that's why I'm not sure if it's worth it.
Would you chose VTech over your acceptance? If so, then yes! Why not? Can you afford it?
If you want us to help you, the only thing we can do is compare VTech to the school where you are already accepted and share our opinion about your options.
I don't think I would. I hadn't thought about it that way actually and I think it helped me make my decision. I was really just looking for something general because I felt it'd be a waste of money if my chances are low. I actually like my acceptance better than this school even though it's got less of "name" but I visited both before and think I'd be a better fit at the other school. Thank you for your help!
Have you been able to send an update? Same problem here, my secondary page does not give any options to upload a document.
I sent in an update pre-II via email to admissions a couple of weeks ago, and they replied saying that they'd add it to my file. Hopefully an II will follow.
Does anyone know how long they interview? Is it only through February, like UVA?

I got a secondary from VT a long time ago but decided not do submit it. Today I got a pretty generic e-mail saying that after review of my application I'm a competitive applicant, which I know I'm not, and that the deadline to submit the secondary is Jan. 1. Are there others out there that got the same e-mail?
+1. Can't decide if it's worth submitting or not.
IIRC, they only interview once a month (6 interview days throughout the cycle!) so I think they have two interview days left. There could be a chance depending on your application strength so good luck in whatever you decide 🙂

Thanks for the positivity. Unfortunately (heh) I got an email early afternoon saying that I'm placed on "active status" until the April review, with an opportunity to update them prior to that. It's okay! Even though VTC is my #1, I am grateful to have been accepted elsewhere. I was just invited for an interview. Does anyone know if the class is full or if we would be interviewing for the waitlist? I know the class size is pretty small. Also, how were your MMI experiences at VTECH? Do you have any general advice for someone interviewing?
At least when I applied - they said they held spots open through their last MMI
They accept a certain number of people from each interview group. Anyone not accepted outright is grouped together post-interview season and re-evaluated as one large group, if I recall correctly.
The MMI was very well-organized, IMO. Try to relax. If you feel like you didn't do well on one station, you'll have a minute or so to clear your head before going on to the next one. Good luck!
Stupid question, but does VTC have a separate website to check your status? The link I used to submit the secondary is only for that--there are no options and it only shows that you submitted the app. I received a complete email, but it'd give me something to do if i could repeatedly check that my application was still under review a few times a day.

I think they are receptive to pre-interview updates because I sent a letter via email and they included it with my file.

To address the jan and feb interviews--VTC holds spaces open to accept applicants from both of these interview dates. I have a good number of classmates that were accepted outright from those interview dates, so you still have a good chance! I would highly recommend coming and checking this school out. At least for the great food at the mixer the night before 🙂
Oh man. Just received an II for Jan 31! Complete early September, added them pretty late though!
I got an interview invite for Jan 31 this morning! But.... I withdrew last month. So I'm confused.
