Yea that may have just made me more anxious
Noooo that wasn't my intention!! I thought people would feel better knowing a lot of movement hadn't happened yet rather than thinking it had happened but it just hasn't been involving them
Many deans might overlook them but I think Dr. Beckman in particular is very receptive to genuine emails. In one I wrote three long paragraphs (stupid, I know) but she responded almost immediately with literally two words. And the day after an unacknowledged email to her, Tulane gave me some life-changing good news. I think the moral for future applicants = don't hesitate to email them directly if you are sincere in your words.
Ha I know I'm just teasing. The first time I read it, it seemed like she'd basically said 'the waitlist train has left the station...didn't you hear?' which would have been a bit of a disappointment
Given that you've all been quiet today, can I assume that nothing has changed?

The office is really busy with the awards ceremony today and graduation tomorrow. I wouldn't hold my breath waiting to hear something, even on Monday.

I believe the advice that has been passed around is to a) the secondary portal and b) your interviewer. I've been doing both at least...
My interviewer also recommended sending LOIs to Dean Beckman if you haven't already!
Part of me is very hopeful. But if we hear about it tomorrow, that means we aren't in it.
After 7 months of waiting, I got accepted off the waitlist yesterday morning!! Had to check my email again to make sure I wasn't dreaming. Pretty sure my sincere emails to Dr. Beckman helped a lot. So excited to be going there! Good luck to those still waiting.

The wording of it made me a bit worried that I'd missed an email or something. Logged into the portal...still waitlisted 🙁
Same here. Which made it like 10x worse
My adrenal glands have died out. I feel nothing now when I see med school emails :-D.

Today is a new day! Maybe some of us will get lucky like le_bartender did yesterday? My sister has tried to cheer me up by sending me music videos. While it's not working (at all), maybe some of you will enjoy the trip back in time?

Did we have to submit anything other than FAFSA? I just recently got accepted and want to make sure I didn't miss anything
