I'm sure they are just slowing down with increased number of applications. I'd wait it out another week before you call, but that's just me.

~3.5 gpa and 30 MCAT. ~300 hours of research (no pubs/posters/anything!) but have quite a number of unique activities.

Edit: I hope that I appreciate my answer for the prompt B part that asks : "has broadened your perspective of the world ". I wrote something sort of "poetic" as far how I see life and the way I relate to people and what I learned. I tend to keep my answers "objective" with real facts life experiences to back it up, but I "free styled " pretty big on that one, now I am having second thoughts

Ah but my UVA and EVMS apps were just sitting in the dust until I realized I had to submit those forms to be "complete"/offered an interview 🙁

Hey guys, anyone know if VTC accepts post-secondary updates? I just got hired as a sleep tech and would like to include it in my app as it adds more clinical hours but I don't see anything on the website.

so MSAR says they interview 167 OOS and 32 matriculate - i've got to believe that they accept more than 32 though right?
That actually doesn't surprise me - VTC is a tiny class.
The probably accept 1.5-2x class size
42 matriculate actually, it is the same for every class. As stated above, they must accept more than the number that ultimately matriculate just like other medical schools. Acceptances are on a rolling basis, depending on when your interview was.

Because they specifically say 500-600 words I would probably get closer to that range if I were you. Don't add fluff, just outline a new essay and add what you have where it fits.
It's weird to see only one person got a II today so far, since they seem to only give IIs once a month. Maybe more just haven't posted?

they accept about 80 people, and may release more acceptances based on how many people matriculate

Not sure how accurate that is... As per their admissions timeline:
"March 30 - By AMCAS regulations, Virginia Tech Carilion issues 42 acceptances"
Idk though. I cant imagine they only issue 42 acceptances throughout the entire cycle , unless they utilize the waitlist very heavily.

That means they must issue AT LEAST that number of acceptances by that date. Here is from the same page: "The School of Medicine receives over 3000 AMCAS applications each year for 42 class seats."
42 seats means many more acceptances.
It took them a few days to acknowledge my submission then a week to send a secondary, and that was at the start of the season (july). Id imagine they're probably really busy right now, so it may take a week or two. Im just guessing though
80 is what they showed us in the powerpoint when I interviewed there
