I finished but never submitted my secondary. I probably know the answer, but I reconsidered and I actually really like it BUT i dont know if i should I even bother submitting so late

all of my other secondaries were sent in in august

YOU GUYS, THIS IS WORSE THAN HAVING TO OPEN MY MCAT SCORES!!! (And I'm only waiting on one school.)

honestly, it's pretty refreshing. I have seen some of the NTs and older people on SDN be really catty and condescending, but I don't get why when they were all in the same spot years ago. I'm still really new to all of this, but it is nice to know that there are friendly people here too.

like I said before, it takes guts, and I am really tired of people coming on and saying "oh youll never make it because you have this wrong or that wrong". Everyone has their own story on how they got there, and admissions aren't one-size-fits-all.

I think the people in this thread are consciously choosing to be kind, gentle, and supportive of each other, and that's really encouraging by itself. As you say, @tetley, it doesn't have to be that way. Especially in stress. I don't think it's an accident that people like that gravitated to this thread, and I think we'll all continue to find these pockets wherever we go, going forward. These kinds of things are self-creating and self-sustaining, because we need them.

So that's good. 🙂
 
Received a hold from one school and a rejection from another today.

Hoping tomorrow brings me some better news. 🤔

No cute animal pictures to share but I enjoyed everyone's pets!

I feel the same way! Especially because a fair amount of work I do IRL is regarding culture change/shifts to make more effective, collaborative, and productive work environments. We are all going to the same school next August RIGHT?!

Thanks for giving us the tough ones too, guys. Sorry about the deferral, B, but grateful because we're all gonna get them. Would rather get them together.

Also I am seriously either having a major spiritual awakening over here, or a stroke. Or both.
 
I'm going to be a doctor...what a feeling. I want to go back to sleep for 20 minutes but I think it's probably a foregone conclusion that I'm just going to be bouncing off the walls all day.

Congratulations to everyone else who got good news today, and to those that didn't? Don't lose hope. You might have to apply again (like I did) but everything will happen in its time!
 
it's only 7 am on the west coast folks. We have a loong day ahead of us, especially those of us who are waiting for a phone call from our schools. I still find it hard to believe that the admissions staff makes personal calls to all students they accept. I just hope that if i get a call it's not during one of my five meetings today!

And congrats to those who have already heard good news. And hang in there for the rest of you, the journey's just begun.
