Hey guys! I applied to TTU, TWU, ACU, UTMB, and UTHSCSA. I had my interview at TTU on 10/13 as well! I submitted everything through OTCAS in August.

Do you think they give options to have the interview via Skype? Living in Florida the flights can be a little costly

So OTCAS calculates the overall GPA. Does anyone know how the schools see the GPA's they require like the last 60 and the pre-reqs? I didn't see it on the application, or maybe I missed it in the PDF?

I just had to calculate it myself to find out...I'm not sure that you are able to see that through OTCAS.

Congrats on your interview at Tech! I know they do a tour and you are able to talk to current students, but how long did your actual interview last? Was it one-on-one or group? I will be interviewing there in December, so any insight is appreciated! Thank you 🙂

I also interviewed 10/13. The whole thing (interview + tour) was really short. I was only at the school just over 2 hours. The day started off with an overview presentation of the program and then we all did a small group activity where we were observed by faculty. Then half the group went on a tour where you get to talk to students while the other half interviewed. The interview is individual, but everyone is spread out in the same room. You have 7 minutes to answer the question before the faculty member moved on. In total you get asked 3 questions with 7 minutes to answer each. Each question is asked by a different faculty member. It felt like a speed dating interview.

Thanks! So it was completely different than I thought it would be. There were about 12 of us for the first round and we were split into A&B groups. Before the interview/tour part was when the group activity began. It was a lot of fun! A group did their interviews at the same time and B did their interviews together. We were sat around the room and the professors rotated to each of us and asked us questions. Technically it was one-on-one. Either before or after the interview section you will go on a tour. That is when you get to really talk to the current students! At the end of the interview and tour, they gave us a chance to all ask questions. I think it was about two hours if I remember correctly.

Totally agree that it felt like speed dating. I am not really a fan of how it was set up

I would email them to check! They might. If not, check on Spirit. They have cheap flights all the time and maybe you can luck out and get one. I have been able to fly for right at $100 round-trip!

Congratulations on the interview! Do you mind sharing when you submitted your app and got your email about the interview? I submitted early October and haven't heard back yet :/

Don't worry! They still are conducting interviews in Jan! I submitted my application to Tech Sept. 23rd. Good luck! I'm guessing you will hear something sometime in November.

Congrats on getting an interview! How soon did you hear back from them after you submitted your application? I submitted to them on 9/28! But all I received was an email last week discussing the they did a preliminary evaluation of my application.

I received an e-mail yesterday (10/26) with an invitation to the interview in Dec.

No I haven’t! They said it would be 4-6 weeks before we heard anything back so I wouldn’t worry too much 🙂
 
I submitted my Tech application on (10/2) and just got an offer for a December interview today!

It was through email. I know some people got offers last week for the December dates as well, so I don't think they send them all out at the same time. Good luck!!

Oh okay, I still haven't heard anything from them and they told me I had a prelim eval on 10/11. Getting a little worried since some people have heard back already.

I was going to pick that date, but I have an obligation that weekend. I am hoping to connect with someone on here that would be interested in meeting up in Lubbock. Are you going to fly there?

Last year I received an invite in the beginning of December.

For UTEP there was no supplemental application, right? I did not see anything about one on their website.

I called the dept of MOT @ TWU and asked about interviews. They told me yes they will interviewing this year.

Darn... I hope that doesn't push back the dates in which they announce who was accepted. Did they give you an idea of when the interviews would be? I just got invited to interview at Midwestern in mid-December and I'm really hoping all the interview dates don't overlap...
 
Mel27 I was asked to interview at Midwestern too but had to take the January date 9th because Dec 12 was in the middle of my school finals. I am assuming TWU interviews will for sure slow down their announcements.

Congrats on your interview! TWU said we would be finding out in Dec. I am assuming interviews will take place in Jan. I know they communicate with other programs to schedule interviews on different dates so that they don't overlap.

TWU is doing interviews on January 10 and 11. It says that under their program materials section on OTCAS. For my tech interview, I submitted my application on 9/25 and got the interview invite on 10/25 for Dec 2.
 
Has anyone who interviewed with Tech 10/13 heard back? This wait is getting the best of me.

I have not yet, Im assuming and hoping we will hear next week. You were the 10/13 session right?
 
Has anyone applied to ACU and know if they are interviewing/ when they will be sending out interviews if they are?
 
Also I was creeping on the 2015-16 thread and they said that tech had emailed them like days later offering acceptance... making me have a minor stroke since its been 3 weeks since my interview on the 13th
 
I do not think ACU does interviews? I think from older posts it looks like they did not notify people until March- praying it is sooner.

Yeah same, and the people I spoke to from last year heard back in two weeks!
