Sure! Most of mine haven't notified yet, but I have received a few rejections and have one interview so far at the Richmond VA! I applied to VAs all over the country, but the majority are in the south/southeast. Right now I am still waiting to hear back from Bay Pines, Tampa (Trauma Track), Gainsville, Hampton, Dallas, Cleveland, Asheville, Salisbury, Louisville, and three in California (long shots haha)! How about you?

I mostly stayed in the Midwest! Interviews at Cincinnati, Lexington, Iowa city, central Iowa, Saint Louis, and Columbia! Still waiting to hear from Hines, Jesse Brown, Danville, Vanderbilt, Kansas City, aaannnddd Dayton!

I am just feeling all the stress right now! My prospectus defense is this Wednesday and I had a site ask me to tell them the "outcome" of my defense. Cause no pressure, right?! Plus I'm still waiting to hear from 15 sites! I think I'm starting to dissociate. 😵

Ear worm. I legit started singing this out loud.

The silence is killing me today. I literally cannot be productive.

Final project due this week? What final project? I cannot research, I can only refresh.

I may have purchased, like, 4 pairs of shoes, 3 pairs of pants in different sizes, and 3 jackets in different sizes. With plans to return what doesn't fit before my credit card spontaneously lights itself on fire. So, there's one strategy.

As for Salem VA track question, I believe they didn't have tracks and it was just a general application.

Bless those of you who are dropping obscure Gilmore Girls references. They just replayed every single one of the 153 episodes last week and it was amazing.

This is my shopping strategy. Say a prayer for my credit card.

Finished some mindless lab/data stuff, so now I'm gonna try and trick the Universe into notifying us. I'ma be real specific this time (since the last time I tried this I wasn't specific enough and "heard from sites" in the rejection sense):

Universe. I am going out to return some pants at Dillard's and to buy cookies at Target. I will be out. Away(ish) from my email. Away(ish) from these forums. While I am away(ish), I would like to hear positive news (e.g., an INVITE) from one of my sites. And while we're at it, I would like my #forumfam to hear positive news (e.g., an INVITE) from one of their sites as well. Got that, Universe? Me = Out. Me = want invite for me. Yes, I think the calls went out early this morning and that was that. The question: Do I give up waiting for Salem and book my flights to other interviews in this region, or hold out and risk higher flight costs?

I haven't heard either. From the APPIC news update we received this weekend, I would count on it coming on Wed. 11/29 since they are suppose to update us by the date on the AAPIC website! Holding out hope for all of us! My husband is secretly hoping I only interview and match at USC since he went there...🙂

It might not be a rejection! Charleston does rolling invitations, even within the same track. Invitations started going out for the general/adult psychopathology track a week ago, and I just got mine today. Don't lose hope!

Same. I've entered full-on existential crisis mode. I told husband I'm considering applying to MSW or nursing programs for next year(his reply: "Nope.")

Charleston makes it very clear in their application materials that they do rolling invitations, and that someone hearing about an interview before you has no indication as to what your status is. Not sure about Mailman, but I haven't seen another site that makes it as explicit as Charleston does.

Finally got a rejection from EVMS...I pretty much knew it was coming and honestly the site isn't a great fit (not terrible either), but my fiance was really excited about that location. Kinda bummed about having to tell him now. 🙁

Side note- I have a student who is in the cohort below me who is interested in a neuro internship. What kind of specialized training/preparation did you all have that makes you competitive (YES YOU ARE COMPETITIVE, DON'T SAY OTHERWISE!) for internship?...A little healthy distraction when there is a bunch of silence!
