Maybe a dumb question but How does one spot a “bad site” exactly?

I have no idea lol but she had gone through the interview game a lot to get a sense who is super disorganized, seems unsupportive, lack of diversity awareness etc. I’m guessing it’s a you need to get there to see thing. Or have friends tell you they hate their site and have good reason to back it up.

Hey has anybody else heard from Lucile Packard Children's at Stanford? Somebody posted about hearing way back on 11/17 but I haven't heard anything from anyone else since so was curious? And obviously just trying to deny the forthcoming rejection haha.

Haven't heard either way here either... but I guess I figured if invites went out and there's no track it's probably rejection :/

Hi! I am unsure if the invitations for this site are rolling or not. But until you get a rejection I would not give up hope! The silence can most definitely be hard to bear. Your are amazing and will definitely match somewhere wonderful!

My main sources of nourishment are currently coming from chocolate (antioxidants?) and wine (fruit?), finding excuses ("I probably need toothpaste...") to stop on the way home for daily replenishment. I'd be ashamed if I had any cognitive resources that aren't being allotted to anxiety and refreshing.

My DCT when we were reviewing my list of that that’s a hard side to get into but that also may be because we are PsyD program and I was applying to the Nuro tracks so maybe that’s what he meant ?

As a School Psych PhD Student, My interview invites/rejections won't start rolling in until December 6 and it is TORTURE! Anyone else in the same boat? I have loved seeing how supportive y'all have been towards each other!!! This site is fantabulous.

I am in the same boat!!! It is definitely torture.. as I’ve been rejected to most of the non-school sites I applied to.

Also, there’s a great Forbes article “Two Tools to Boost Your Resilience and Bounce Back After Failure.” My fav part is when it talks about a Princeton professor’s Failure CV. 😉

It is somehow so much worse than I thought it could be! I had a professor describe this time as the most stressful part of grad school for her, and I'd have to agree. It's helpful to have that normalized from the other side, but it's so, so brutal. And yes yes, a thousand yes's about Courtney Love! I know if I get a weird look from someone when I mention/play her music, they aren't for me; and when someone nerds out, I've found a new friend. So between this weird hazing we're going through and our love for the Love, we're, like, soul sisters for life?

Screw those clinical sites. The bias against School Psych PhDs blows my mind sometimes. Especially given that at our school, we take almost all of the clinical classes and then the school psych classes on top of them. I have 104 credits right now.

Than Which school sites are you waiting to hear from? If you don't mind me asking 🙂
