this was me after a different site's rejection. fortunately mine came in the evening and i didn't have to maintain daytime functioning
pro tip- grieve -but you will be on to so much better for you!

Thank you for saying all this! This forum is seriously so supportive and needed during this soul-sucking process! I do wish the rejections could be sandwiched in the middle of the day though haha cause my tolerance for today is already shot.

I also had the one site that I swore had to interview me or I’d cry for a year. Their invites went out and I did not get one. I was super sad but it passed quickly. Then I got other sites and now I’m all “it’s just not my wandsite, that’s all.” #wandsite

Anyone get a rejection from Alfred I. Dupont/Nemours? I know their deadline was yesterday, but I haven't heard either way. I'm thinking it's a no, but I just want them to pull the trigger at this point. I was thinking about emailing them, but don't want to seem annoying since the deadline was only yesterday.

So I have this very visceral and confusing love-hate relationship with Taylor Swift. I kind of despise her as a human being and frequently get an overwhelming urge to punch her in the face when I see her perform or do interviews. AND, I’ll give credit where credit is due: I often find a lot of her music really catchy. Anyway, if anyone needs a distraction from internship hell, she finally put her latest album on Spotify and listening to it this morning has provided a whooooole lot of cognitive dissonance that is somehow a huge relief in the midst of all the waiting. So if anyone feels similarly, I highly recommend this strategy haha.

On a perhaps less hateful note, hoping for some good news for us all today!! 🙂

Fyi, I double checked their website which says this:
"Interview offers will be extended by email on or before November 30, 2017, and all applicants will be notified of their status by December 15, 2017 at the very latest."
So I believe that means that if we were not notified already it is a for sure no, but they may not tell us about it until they have to.

Haven't heard yet either, but hoping we both get good news! I'm grateful that PI doesn't even offer onsite interviews (besides the optional open house in Jan) - tickets to Hawaii are insane this time of year!

Ps- I'm on the VA train with a few of you! 🙂
