So I have this very visceral and confusing love-hate relationship with Taylor Swift. I kind of despise her as a human being and frequently get an overwhelming urge to punch her in the face when I see her perform or do interviews. AND, I’ll give credit where credit is due: I often find a lot of her music really catchy. Anyway, if anyone needs a distraction from internship hell, she finally put her latest album on Spotify and listening to it this morning has provided a whooooole lot of cognitive dissonance that is somehow a huge relief in the midst of all the waiting. So if anyone feels similarly, I highly recommend this strategy haha.

On a perhaps less hateful note, hoping for some good news for us all today!! 🙂

I liked that you opened the flood gates to discuss music today. Has anyone heard Beyonce and Ed's duet for Perfect?! It's perfect! I'm adding it to my list of wedding music for my wedding.....you know, that one that I'm planning while I'm super single and all...

Haven't heard yet either, but hoping we both get good news! I'm grateful that PI doesn't even offer onsite interviews (besides the optional open house in Jan) - tickets to Hawaii are insane this time of year!

Omg agreed. When sites don’t even offer phone or Skype interviews, I’m like... I’m sorry do you not remember what it’s like to be in grad school and have no money... I like you guys, but I like feeding myself and paying rent more.

Fyi, I double checked their website which says this:
"Interview offers will be extended by email on or before November 30, 2017, and all applicants will be notified of their status by December 15, 2017 at the very latest."
So I believe that means that if we were not notified already it is a for sure no, but they may not tell us about it until they have to.

Their time zone is so far behind the continental U.S. though, it's only ~8:45 am there right now! With the way things have been going their notifications will go out at like 5 pm their time...

I get the sense that we applied to a lot of the same places and are having eerily similar outcomes. So, to give you some hope- I just got an invite for the Hines VA after thinking it was too late! Hang in there 🙂

As I looked more closely it was a specific email for each track. I applied to 3 tracks and heard back from two. Hmmmm
