Six rejections in a row on the back end, woof, and for some favorite sites. I've got five invites, which is solid, but man these feel diminishing. Two more to go: UT Austin and Washington.

Nope, you're not alone (unfortunately - what the heck sites?!). U of Montana is the main one I'm waiting on. Historically I noticed in the past years that another school I haven't heard from notifies late or not at all despite a notification date of Dec. 15....so potentially we're in almost literally the same boat

Waiting on Cyfair ISD and rejection from momentous. Waitlisted at 2 sites. I just want this to be over.

Anyone get any news on those?

I am too, but I would just appreciate getting the rejection at this point...they are my last one.

I’m with you as well! 2 left next week.... and currently anxiously awaiting Ohio State and seeing when it will roll in....

Ayyyyy! Hey there interview buddy.

Monterey pushes me up to 3 interviews finally. I feel like at this point I finally have at least a little breathing room and can stop being so cranky at everyone.

Endless love for those of you sitting at zero, one, or two interviews. My heart is forever with you all.

I'm curious now because one of my last few sites is Sharp Healthcare in San Diego. Haven't seen anything from them on this forums with regard to invites or rejections.

Funny you say that.. I just got my third interview after like 11 rejections and I didn't realize how stressed I was because of that

And I echo your sentiments regarding ENDLESS LOVE to those sitting with a number of interviews they aren't content with. BUT REMEMBER.... IT ONLY TAKES ONE! I know numerous people who have only had one and matched 🙂

I saw that too. Mendota was posted earlier in the forum on 12/6. I also noticed on the APPIC site that they changed their notification date from 12/15 to 12/18... so I’m not sure what that means if there are more invites to come?

While it only takes one, it is immensely discouraging when you're sitting at 1-2 interviews and you see people posting about being at 8-13 interviews. It's hard not to question your own worth.

I had a masters before entering my current program (which also awarded a masters), and while in my practicums, I've focused on assessment experiences as I greatly prefer assessment to therapy. It seems like sites a whole have been searching for more therapy focused applicants than assessment focused - which is frustrating because my current supervisor talked about how recent years sites have yearned for assessment applicants, so it's a bit of a sea change. Can't help but feel frustrated and like I've gotten screwed by the process.

I can only hope! The date has been 12/18 for as long as I've been looking at it but who knows? My fingers are crossed for us both!

Yes to the love for #forumfam struggling with less interviews than they hoped for or want. This is a harsh process and that's a horribly difficult space to be in.
And yay for no more cranky! I love to see a supportive forum all around. Congrats on your interview...That looked like an awesome site!!

I have one I hear from on the 18th and one that goes out on 1/2. It's not accredited and sort of a safety site, so not too worried about it. But I do want to hear from Western Carolina University. They look cool...

I'm really sorry that you're starting to question your worth. It sounds like you worked really hard to be a competitive candidate and it looks like it paid off -- you got 2 interviews, compared to some who got none. You're right, I was also told that some sites do value diagnostic criteria more, while others value intervention more. But some also value Phd applicants while others want more Psy.D. Some want applicants who are willing to do more research or who already have an extensive amount presented or published. It's possible the sites you applied to didn't appreciate your strong diagnostic background and was possibly looking for more well-rounded candidates? Then again, who am I to say what they were looking for. We don't know. Many things could have played a role too. I don't think you should quantify your worth based on how many interviews you've received. It wouldnt fair to yourself since soooo many factors out of your control really play a role in this process.

Seems like a tough year for assessment also, and I may be wrong but looks like you applied to a lot of California sites which may be historically competitive?
I also got rejected from the small number of neuro sites I applied to. Honestly to me it seems like a crapshoot.

I have 2 more sites to hear from, and I'm unsure if they are going to be sending anything since it's already nearing the end of the day! Wondering if anyone has heard rejections from the following sites (I know invites were sent a long time ago):

University of Kansas Medical Center (KUMC)- Underserved populations
Harvard Medical School/ Boston Children's Hospital (I know people got rejections on the 8th- has anyone heard rejections beyond that date)?

First interview done! There were parts I thought I rocked and parts where I thought I should swing by McDonald’s and pick up an application on my way home because wtf am I even doing here.

Regardless, it’s done and my acupressure mat is giving me life
 
My friend keeps bugging me about Momentous...anyone heard. Shes chomping at the bit

I got my rejection from Boston Children's on 12/12! There is still hope for you!
