Hey there! If you go search "Brody School of Medicine - Class of 2023" on Facebook, you will find it! It can take sometime to get approved but they'll let you in :)

Question- For M2 year, during winter break, do people go on vacation or do people typically start prepping for boards then? Thanks.

Do y'all think there is going to be very little waitlist movement the rest of the summer since their admissions update page says they have sent out 125 offers as of May 1st?

As of May 15, 2019 we have:

  • Received 1075 AMCAS applications
  • Received 984 Supplementary applications
  • Interviewed 451 applicants
  • Made 130 offers
(Generally it takes 120-135 offers to fill a class)
What's crazy is that at least 37 offers have been made since the waitlist came out on March 29, most of those between the April 15 and May 1 updates.

The update for May 15, 2018 showed that 112 offers had been made.

I don't know what to make of the numbers, or whether many more offers will be made. The forums for other schools show that movement is still going on.

I agree, I have no idea what to make of these numbers either. I follow a couple other threads that are claiming it is due to new AMCAS Traffic Rules and that there may be more wait list movement throughout the summer (June to Mid July), but no one truly knows. Definitely a confusing year to be on the wait list.

I am a late admit to Brody. This late in the game, I’m having a lot of trouble finding a place to live. I also haven’t gotten accepted to the Facebook group and am having trouble getting in touch with current or future Brody students. Does anybody still need a roommate or know of any affordable and safe places to live?

You can join the GroupMe or send me a PM and I’ll get you sorted out joining. I just recently got a place at River Pointe apartments but Keystone management as a whole has pretty decent and relatively inexpensive places, it’ll just be a bit of a drive. Look forward to having you in the class!
