According to what I have been told, interview invitations are almost exclusively based on how competitive your applicant numeric formula is (this formula considers MCAT, GPA, and Letters of Recommendation); nevertheless, I may be mistaken.

Is a combination of how far you submitted your documents before the deadline and scores. Lowest score I have heard in my class were between 496 (rumor)-498.

I recently got interviewd here and walked out of the interview feeling like I didn’t answer some questions very well. I wasn’t expecting some of them, which got me nervous. Could this affect my possibilities of getting in greatly?

Interview is worth like 10% of the formula points plus don't be hard on yourself (you probably did better than you think). Your MCAT and GPA are average so it's likely that you are accepted.
