Hi everyone, I hope this is okay to ask, but for those who withdrew their acceptance, has your status on the AAMC choose your medical school tool changed yet? I withdrew on the portal over two weeks ago but my AAMC status still says accepted. Also, does anyone know how they send back the holding deposit? Thank you!

I was wondering the same - I don't think the portal will update that. I think it's just important you tell the school, but I could be wrong

Yes, mine stated "withdrew after acceptance" - and also i think the deposit is nonrefundable (correct me if i'm wrong pls)

I just called the admission office and they said that the AAMC Choose Your Medical School tool shouldn’t say “Accepted,” but should reflect that we withdrew. She was trying to fix it on her end but wasn’t able to so she asked me to call tomorrow to check for updates. I would recommend you call if it doesn’t say “Withdrew After Acceptance” just in case!

Edit: she mentioned that they’re working with a new Amp system so for some people, changing the status “took” but for others, the change didn’t stick.
 
For those that got off the waitlist, did they call or email?

i believe there is a post earlier in this thread from a reapplicant who attended VIP day last year and was not admitted off the WL. Based on the way they have been admitting people off the WL, it looks like they are admitting individuals based on a ranking
 
For those who got A from WL. What is the time frame to response to the A?
 
Does anyone know the latest interview dates that are getting responses? I interviewed in late February and feel like I am never going to hear my fate 😂

I interviewed mid-December and still haven’t heard back. I emailed them this morning and they responded that decisions will be made until the end of june.
 
Hi yall! I had a bit of a question if anyone can help me get clarity. I was wondering if anyone knows if CUSM sends out rejections for waitlists in May. I’m on the waitlist since 1/13, SoCal resident, and the only other offer I have is a DO program in another state and the program starts end of June. I’m really not sure what to do, if I should just keep waiting to hear back, start prepping to move out or what. Can anyone offer any advice !

They likely won't give out rejections for those on the WL until the first day of classes since they're continuously accepting people from it. There's still a lot of time until then and I've seen someome from a previous year's thread taken off the waitlist at this school in June while they were attending another program. I'd say if you'd really like to go here then prepare as much as you can for the other school without setting anything in stone until the very last moment.

Hi everyone! I have been accepted into the MBS C/O '26 and I am truly looking forward to this opportunity. I would love to hear practical tips/advice on how to do well in this program while balancing out your mental and physical well-being. Furthermore, is there a Facebook or GroupMe for this class yet? any suggestions for apartments near cusm that are safe and not crazy expensive?
 
For those who were admitted, is there anything we need to do other than fill out the docusign form? Do we need to input anything on the AMCAS website?
