I am trying to decide if it is worth it for me to apply to either an MSOT or OTA program this summer or just take the gap year. I have been getting very mixed opinions on if it is worth it to apply now.
Here are my stats:
-I will have 100 hours of observation (30 hours in peds private practice, 17 in an outpatient facility, and about 50 in a childrens hospital).
- My GPA is on the low side but early on in my college career I got very sick during finals week but decided to not post pone my tests. (3.25 cumulative, and approx 3.1 of pre reqs-- I still haven't taken physics)
If anyone could point me in the right direction of what to do with my life please help!!! And if you think I have a shot at getting in somewhere, would you mind posting which school?
Thanks!!!!

If you are thinking about applying to the MSOT, I would recommend working on getting your prerequisites GPA up. Most programs want at least a 3.0, especially in prerequisites. I had to retake a class in order to take some of my prerequisites, so I totally understand how frustrating and expensive it can be to retake. Otherwise your hours sound good. My advice is to get some quality volunteer hours related to OT or healthcare, write a genuine personal statement, and get great letters of recommendation.

I pretty much echo that.
