Starting to think about reapplying and had a question... If you reapply is it expected that you redo all your secondaries? I'm thinking that at schools where I got a Pre-II R I'd wanna try writing about something different, but for some of the questions my answer will still be the same as it was last year. So I can revise etc but would it be a bad idea to write about the same topics?
Also, I'm thinking that I should copy paste all my secondaries into a word doc before the portals disappear from this cycle. Anyone know when that would be?

Also curious to know this. I would imagine you could write along the same lines but not identical. As for when secondaries disappear I don't know but when I wrote mine initially I just kept it as a Word doc. Now that I'm down to three WL the idea of reapplying is becoming more real.
I recommend a revision of all your written application.Starting to think about reapplying and had a question... If you reapply is it expected that you redo all your secondaries? We will compare versions, so sending in the same ap isn't a good look.
Even if the topics are the same or similar, there is always a better way to present one's thoughts.
I agree with @gyngynI recommend a revision of all your written application.

Also think about it : you didn't get accepted with this set of essays. Rewriting them, along with being sure to submit earlier if timing was an issue last year, are two ways you can change and improve your application.
+1 to gyngyn and wysdoc. I have heard similar comments from admissions at multiple programs.I recommend a revision of all your written application.

Do you do a side-by-side comparison of all activities statements in the primary as well? I'm asking because, in the past, I've received conflicting guidance on the degree (if any) one's activities should be revised.I recommend a revision of all your written application.

I have heard yes from multiple adcoms (I was a reapplicant). Advice I received: Rewrite your primary application essays including your most meaningful activities.Do you do a side-by-side comparison of all activities statements in the primary as well? I think it's been said earlier but most of the movement will probs be after 4/30?How has WL movement been at people's schools after 4/15?
Yeah it should based on what I see, but like @KnightDoc mentioned a little bit earlier, there are some individuals that follow the "rules" of narrowing acceptances to 3 in accordance with the 4/15 deadline, so this would translate to overall WL movement with people dropping and getting their feet and other placeholders off their seats in this massive game of musical chairs.I think it's been said earlier but most of the movement will probs be after 4/30?
Edit: so I was just asking about if people had been seeing movement at their schools, which would mean that the days us in this thread are waiting for are on the horizon.

Always remember
I would bet that cumulative released WL spots are much much higher following the April 30th date than the April 15 date (even if everyone followed the reduce to 3 As rule). Only candidates with 4 or more As are impacted by April 15 date.I think it's been said earlier but most of the movement will probs be after 4/30?
Hen in May, the WL gets released in ~weekly waves since each offer gets a week to decide.
Honestly, they know you are anxious, and there is an advantage to the school to accepting you earlier rather than later if they are going to do so, so, even though I'm not an adcom, I think common sense dictates that they wouldn't wait 2 weeks for no particular reason. Will some schools just wait till after April 30th w/ WL movement?
Any delay might be caused by their having to meet to make decisions, but I really don't think they are keeping you hanging just to make one set of calls instead of several. WL movement will be in waves, everywhere, between now and the end of the cycle. No school that wants you is going to risk losing you to another school by waiting to make a call. JMHO.

Not sure if this was already discussed but,
Does anyone have any insight on the weight of Sidney Kimmel Medical College/ Jefferson's High Priority Waitlist? Does it significantly increase chances of being accpeted or is it something that the majority of waitlisted interviewees tend to receive as opposed to their alternate list?

Sidney Kimmel Medical College Waitlist 2020-2021
This should have all the info you're looking forWhy is this the case? Is it because schools have a better idea of who withdrew their A after all the dust settles?I think it's been said earlier but most of the movement will probs be after 4/30?

Joining this list with my last waitlist T-T
You’re in good company, homieJoining this list with my last waitlist T-T
One of the few things that cause delay is if the school doesn’t use a straight ranked list, but instead creates a crafted class and needs to replace declining applicants with “like” WL candidates (sex, SES, geo, strengths, URM/ORM, athlete etc etc).Any delay might be caused by their having to meet to make decisions, but I really don't think they are keeping you hanging just to make one set of calls instead of several. Does anyone know if the MSAR WL numbers are for March/April and beyond or just whenever? Like some schools have a WL and they pull students off of it from time to time at my school so I was trying to figure out when is the timeline for the numbers...
Honestly I wouldn’t give the MSAR much thought in terms of what they say for WL numbers. Many schools that I’ve been looking at have data from [2] years ago, just flat out false reports of movement, or literally have nothing. I’m sure that accurately reporting WL movement, if it’s high, somehow hurts the school, so there is no reason to look into it or report it on their end. Bois, I’m getting nervous. Anybody heard of significant movement yet?

I'm honestly just relying on school-specific SDN threads. I know it's not all-encompassing but I think it's the best we've got to go by.Where are people looking to find out about any sort of significant movement? It seems like many schools use unranked lists and there are certainly more people that don’t post about this stuff on SDN than those who do.

The lack of movement is unsurprising. Nobody I know who has been accepted yet had more than 3 A's to begin with. The fact that nobody has heard anything by now only means we're all still waiting. Nobody's been forgotten. Just hang tight until 4/30.
5 WL where 3 WLs have actual movement people wya 🤡 I hate this process

For those of you who have submitted a letter of intent to a waitlist school (but are also accepted elsewhere), are you explicitly naming the schools that you hold acceptances at? I know not everyone has an A this year, and from reading sdn I guess some advise to straight out name where you’re accepted at in LOI to a waitlisted school, but to me this seems pretty risky of sounding ungrateful. Any thoughts?

^here was my experience shouting this question into the SDN universe -- TL;DR didn't end up naming my acceptance
Some schools even ask directly for your other acceptances (i.e. hofstra).
Correct, since WL -> Acceptances are a trickle, individuals often don’t post about it in real time to prevent outing themselves.Where are people looking to find out about any sort of significant movement? It seems like many schools use unranked lists and there are certainly more people that don’t post about this stuff on SDN than those who do.
Just wanted to take a moment to send positive vibes to everyone reading this. It’s a stressful time with lots of uncertainty and speculation in this cycle especially over the next two weeks and over the next month, but praying the movement works in your favor.
Anybody else getting their hopes High for the week of 4/20?
FWIW, I spoke with adcom members from two schools during second visits/extra info sessions, and there was limited (if any) waitlist movement as a result of 04/15.
This was somewhat expected, right? Due to the fact that only half of the accepted applicants have more than one A? Now I just wonder what will happen on 4/30 in terms of WL movement.FWIW, I spoke with adcom members from two schools during second visits/extra info sessions, and there was limited (if any) waitlist movement as a result of 04/15.
Did the adcom have anything to say about that or do you have any thoughts on it?

1) This cycle is abnormal given the worldwide events.
2) Wait patiently for early May for the majority of waitlist movement.
3) Temper anxiety as best as possible: eat properly, exercise, and pursue hobbies.
Is refreshing a school's secondary portal something that we can classify as a "hobby"? 😀Expected, but I am anxious just like everyone else 🙂
