Also pretty much my mindset rn but I thought Cornell doesn’t set up the FB group till late April? He might be talking about last year? @bones-n-sconez pls correct me if im wrong!

Congrats to all the As. Random question, do we need to do the non Fafsa and CSS financial aid forms if we have not heard back, or just wait until a potential acceptance to do them?

i personally waited. those things are annoying to fill

Lol I missed this neuroticism .. last yrs thread was fun

grats to all the As!! happy to answer any questions u have

to those waiting, keep hope bc there’s lots of movement on the WL historically and in my class
How is the dorm life? Do students normally study in their rooms or in libraries? How are student facilities generally (dorms, classrooms)?

FYI our accepted fb group grew to around 230 students. Let’s be generous and say 30 of thos were current students at the time and joined to answer questions

That means they ended up accepting about 100 more than the intended class size when it was all said and done
Theres a FB group?

Admissions watching this thread be like

I called admissions, and was told that decisions are ongoing throughout this month. This is a first for Cornell. In the past, all decisions (A, WL, and R) were simultaneously released on either the first of second Friday of March.
Thank you for doing that! Forgive my insane neuroticism but did it seem like “ongoing decisions” included As? Does this mean its possible this initial group of As was the first batch? (Again sorry for the stupid question but i had to ask lol)

Do you know how many A’s were given out already for this year? Was it just the min?
No clue but it sounds like they’re doing it differently this year wit multiple batches according to Someone who called

can’t confirm or deny as we don’t have much interaction with admissions this yr

I guess just because they’re non rolling doesn’t mean they’ll release everybody on the same day

Lol I thought the same thing, what's even the point then??
They’re probably working against the March 15th deadline or March 12th (on MSAR). They had change in leadership and Covid delays so they’re probably scrambling.... like we do right before deadlines haha

I doubt there’s any school that’s true non rolling because you have to decision some students before others

Well I guess I'm going to hope against hope that I might still get an A here but I'm thinking it isn't likely....who knows though. What a bummer of a decision rollout, for me anyway. I wish I'd had some self-control not to check SDN.

Per the financial aid page: "First round acceptance decisions are sent by the Office of Admissions on or before March 15, 2021"

Rounds? Do they mean WL acceptances as second round or legit multiple rounds of straight A’s?

Just got WLd. E-mail said that the class has been tentatively filled and WL offers might start in May through early August. Will excuse myself from the WL as financial aid for international students is not great here. Best of luck to everyone else waiting!

Waitlisted just now. Interviewed October...thankful it wasn't a rejection...

Since I know this thread is eager for any information, I'd add the email also stated "The class entering in August 2021 has been tentatively filled..."

WL as well!

honestly happy because I thought I would get an R. I'll hopefully have some significant updates within the next couple months to send over

They really filled their whole class and this thread only had a couple A's reported? hmmmmm

WL as well. Honestly, I'm quite grateful because I felt like I bombed the interview. No A's yet, my only WL and only waiting on 1 more school so I'm PRAYING to the Cornell gods for all of us 🙂)

WL'd too! Feels like everyone is getting WL'd and no post-II Rs. Interesingggg, might be harder to make it off the WL
