Damn no WL for me...I think that means a rejection is incoming. Rough
have fun at harvard you absolute beast 😉post II WL—CONGRATS to those accepted!!
Typical number of waitlist positions per cycle: VariesWL. anyone still have msar that could tell me what it says about WL offers?
someone previously on here said that a lot of the class actually comes from WL. i think they said like 40%? that seems sus to me tho.WL. anyone still have msar that could tell me what it says about WL offers?
Yes that is what was told by @bones-n-sconez, I believesomeone previously on here said that a lot of the class actually comes from WL. i think they said like 40%? that seems sus to me tho.
If many Accepted people withdraw prior to - by calling Cornell (and not just updating AMCAS), movement prior to May is possible, but unlikely.Do you guys think there's a chance of waitlist movement before May? Cornell is my top choice but I have other acceptances and I'm so tired of waiting 🙁
idk the exact number. all i can say is that i remember being a ton of WL movement from my class and historically that seems to be the trend. my class's FB group ended up being around 230 students ... and maybe 30 of those max were current m1s at the time.Yes that is what was told by @bones-n-sconez, I believe
WL as well :/ Check your spam! Mine was in thereSo anyone else with me who didn't get the WL email refreshing their email waiting for the R? I want to know I'm not alone in my misery 🙁
Nothing 🙁 oh well, gonna brace myself for an R. Surprised to see it looks like almost everyone else got the WL. I must have properly sucked at the interview lol. Or else they just arent checking SDN...WL as well :/ Check your spam! Mine was in there
I’m right there with you friend! I thought I did the best in my Cornell interview compared to my others but guess not. Keep your head up though (as hard as it may be to do rn)!!Nothing 🙁 oh well, gonna brace myself for an R. Surprised to see it looks like almost everyone else got the WL. I must have properly sucked at the interview lol. Or else they just arent checking SDN...
wondering about the anything else section as well. seems like the comment is only if you anticipate having a diff email addressBtw, anyone fill out the comment or anything else section?
How many final number of matriculants in your class?idk the exact number. all i can say is that i remember being a ton of WL movement from my class and historically that seems to be the trend. my class's FB group ended up being around 230 students ... and maybe 30 of those max were current m1s at the time.
Thinking the same. Does anyone have an idea if a similar number of WL were reported on SDN last year? Also WL'ed! Do they actually do post-II rejections? Or are you just WL'ed (for what is essentially a rejection)?
I think last year there were 106 matriculants and ~300 people were accepted in total, including WLHow many final number of matriculants in your class?
106, ~20 of which were MD/PhDsHow many final number of matriculants in your class?
300 acceptances total? That seems super high. Do people decline acceptances off the waitlist?I think last year there were 106 matriculants and ~300 people were accepted in total, including WL
There were 2 post-II R's mentioned on page 28 of last year's thread.I searched last year's thread and found no post-II Rs, just waitlists.. am I missing something?
No. My understanding is that each school will only know who is taking up their A. If that number falls below what they need to fill the class, they use their WLs regardless of As from other schools. That's why WL movements run all the way to AugustSorry if this is a dumb question. But because there's no WL movement till May/after the CTE deadline, does that mean that they'll only be puling from people who don't have any acceptances/only WLs?
To add on, April 30 is the deadline to choose Plan to Enroll and narrow down to one A (but you can stay on any number of waitlists). The deadline to choose Commit to Enroll (withdraw from all waitlists) depends on the school.No. My understanding is that each school will only know who is taking up their A. So my previous statement was probably incorrect that between PTE and CTE - WL movements can happen for all, but after CTE, people with As are out of all WLs, so movement can occur only for people with only WLsTo add on, April 30 is the deadline to choose Plan to Enroll and narrow down to one A (but you can stay on any number of waitlists).
