Me too can confirm this str8 up not having a good time rn 🤪🤪✌️✌️me. it's painful both times
I'm sorry to hear. I understand exactly what you're describing, and I just wanted to let you know you're not alone, and that I hope things workout for the both of usFeeling really sad lol, I am WL at my number 1. I'm not considered in-state bc I moved for my MPH in 2020, but I did research at the school for 2 years (got 4 pubs), have a LOR from faculty there, a current M3 emailed to admissions a statement of support on my behalf (did not know he did this until after), and admissions knows my fiance is an M3 and wants to stay for residency.... yet I was still waitlisted. I felt my interview went well I am a social extroverted person and didn't walk away thinking they went badly at all.
I sent an update letter after my interview and got WL in March, sent an LOI in mid-April but don't know what else to do. My commitment to this school is very clear so this feels so personal to be waitlisted and will hurt even more if I'm rejected. The only thing I am hanging on to is that there hasn't been any WL movement posted on SDN yet.
I don't want to rush a reapp at this point but I don't know if I have it in me to wait another whole cycle to apply again.
Hi, yes, this is me at two of my current WL schools :') Was waitlisted at both of them last time I applied.just wondering if anyone else has ever interviewed and been waitlisted at the same school two cycles in a row??
Just here to say I love your username 😂joining the chorus to say this ****ing sucks 😕
If it makes u feel better I only applied to 2 and they both ghosted me <3Should have applied to DO schools.😒
can we make a support group for those who have to reapply? are you guys planning on reapplying? I hate that the cycles overlap.
Dang good for you. I feel like I'm so burnt out from the current cycle, combined with the sliver of WL hope, that I can't bring myself to start a new app. Oh well, going to have to force myself to start in the coming weeks if there is no good waitlist news 🙃Already got my app ready for this coming cycle. Can’t hold my breath over these WL 🙃
Trust me, thinking about secondaries is depressing. 😒Dang good for you. My girlfriend's sister did and ended up being accepted off the WL around june i believe.just wondering if anyone else has ever interviewed and been waitlisted at the same school two cycles in a row??
I think it might do more harm than good if you dont have any major updates. Last thing you want is to annoy adcoms😅Should I send a LOI at this point if I’m on the waitlist? Don’t have any significant updates to my app, just desperate lol
I would say yes, but try to express your interest in the school and its unique offerings. Don't just try to appeal to them emotionally and definitely don't come off as desperate.Should I send a LOI at this point if I’m on the waitlist? I personally disagree with this. While it's true that you don't want to annoy adcoms, an LOI certainly wouldn't do that. obv don't spam them or call their office several times. You also don't need any MAJOR updates. Anything new with your job? accomplish anything relating to hobbies? an LOI is about expressing interest in the school so you could def write about that.I think it might do more harm than good if you dont have any major updates. Sorry I totally misread LOI for update letter lol. Yeah definitely go for it as long as it isnt like your 6th LOI!I personally disagree with this. am i lost 😭 what is today?TODAY IS THE DAY🗣️‼️ manifesting that movement picks up for our programs🙏
Today is Thursday May 11th. 10 days after WL movement was supposed to start for my top choice😅 im just manifesting that movement picks up today there is no logic behind it hahaam i lost 😭 what is today?
I think whats making it so hard is not knowing what to attribute the longer than usual silence to (going off of what people are saying about multiple programs still not accepting people). Is it aftermath of the CYMS glitch, less people reporting on SDN, or just the normal waitlist process? The uncertainty is killer😩Be patient gang, it's still early for most schools. WL offers generally expire after 2-14 days (depending on school's CTE deadline) and people need time to decide.

Yea the mid june CTE for many schools may seem like a date of interest. It just sucks because I need to plan my life these next few months and the same consists of putting my two weeks in as well as moving across the country; all which would suck doing last minuteBe patient gang, it's still early for most schools. From what I’ve seen, a school with a later CTE deadline gives their students more time to decide (say, 2 weeks if CTE is Mid May or June). However, if the CTE is near or has already passed, they need their students to accept almost immediately.Oooo could you explain a little further if you have more info on that?

I think most schools fall in the former portion right now, with longer WL offers.
Off topic, but goated username 🙂I personally disagree with this. I'm a student at the school I'm waitlisted at and therefore have access to an internal admissions website. Over the past 10 days, there has been no movement on that list for in-state people; out-of-state did see movement, which is reflected in the thread for the school on SDN. No one on the thread has reported an acceptance in-state. So I don't know what to think. If there is a hold up at one place, it would have a ripple effect to other schools, I don't think I'm gaslighting myself. Also the FB group for accepted students 2027 has ~40 less people than the 2026 and is below the number of students the school usually acceptsI hate to be a downer but I think the process is most likely proceeding as normal. Every cycle there is always people swearing that their cycle is going slower than previous cycles. Also what we see on sdn is not always representative of what is actually going on. Your school could let half the waitlist off today and you might not even know that it happened if none of those people happen to use sdn.
Being hopeful is good but I don't want to gaslight myself into even more pain in case it doesn't work out 🙁
With the average number of Acceptance or WL per student being so low I don't think a few schools being behind is likely to have any significant broad impact. In any given cycle there is probably always some schools that are behind their usual schedule and some that are ahead for whatever reasons. As much as I want to, I don't see a reason to believe that this cycle is exceptionally slow across the board. It doesn't seem like the CYMS glitch had any big impact and it's been fixed since like last week. In fact one of my schools took a big chunk of people off the WL while the glitch was active.I'm a student at the school I'm waitlisted at and therefore have access to an internal admissions website. You have to have at least one acceptance. I guess that’s because you can’t mark a WL school as PTE.Is there a reason I can’t see the schools I am waitlisted at on the CYMS tool? I don’t even see the tool which makes sense because I have zero MD acceptances. Just thought you were supposed to be able to see waitlists too?
Usually there are also some upperclassmen and admins on the group so you can’t guess exactly how many are this year’s incoming studentsA question, what does it mean if the Facebook group is already 80 people ABOVE the class number ? It is possible the school of medicine overbooked that much?? In that case no one from the wait list will be accepted?
Ya that is possible. One of my schools did that last year and not only did no one come off the waitlist but they apparently also overenrolled their class by a few spotsA question, what does it mean if the Facebook group is already 80 people ABOVE the class number ?
