Ok I need some advice - I sent a Pre-II letter of interest/update letter 1/2/2024 and did not hear back at all. Anyone know if it's worth calling up the office to see if it just got lost in the sauce and they missed it by accident, or if I should just forget about it? I just want them to know I like them so much :')

I sent one the same day and got no reply. Pretty sure they don’t accept pre II letters (though maybe they weren’t upholding that as much earlier in the cycle?)

I sent one in Oct/Nov and got II with this wave and a confirmation email when i sent the update. Worth a shot!

does anyone know if we have to re-release the background check report if we already did it for another school? (mine says automatic release on certiphi) I can't tell if the report goes to AAMC -> schools or if it is a direct report for each school. Called both admissions and certiphi and got a less than satisfactory answer :/

I had submitted mine earlier for another school and got an email from Einstein saying my background check from Certiphi was received, so you should be good!

Yup this is what I noticed. I think they filled their class on Feb 1st then as people drop we get movement

Officially (on their website), their last interview day is April 30th... But I think the last II reported on SDN last year was on Feb 12th

WL... rip this was my one and only MD interview and I thought it was such a mission fit too. Interviewed early sept

Don't loose hope. My friend got in Last cycle who was in WL from Feb 1 (Interviewed in September 2022 as well) and he got out of WL middle of May! He did have other options in May almost accepting another MD program! He is very happy at Einstein!

Don't pay to much attention to HPWL vs WL. My friend was in WL and he still got in the middle of May. As far I heard that almost all only get WL on the first release (typically Feb 1). He was ORM/OOS.
