Tomorrows the big day 😭😭
Doesn't that also mean a good experience doesn't mean that much eitherI had the Worst experience at a top top school and got the A, never lose hope take it from me lol
Unfortunately yeah. People have had interviewers say "I'm confident I'll be seeing you next summer" only to get WLed or post-II R'd. Expect the worst and hope for the best.Doesn't that also mean a good experience doesn't mean that much either
Last year it was between 8 and 9 AM EST, but this year is different, so who knowsWhat time will decisions come out on Wednesday 😨
I think that's just a edge-case. I had a piss-poor interview where my MD disagreed with my goals and aspirations, and I got a post-II R. not saying this was that bad, but i think the interview means somethingUnfortunately yeah. I think interviewers vouch for you, but at the end of the day, it is the decision of the adcom to admit you. So it could go both ways...Unfortunately yeah. The interview does play a role. I'm just saying don't take your interviewers words at face value about your chances of getting the A.I think that's just a edge-case. But then why would they be offered an interview in the first placeInterviewers can believe this and be fierce advocates for an applicant during the committee meeting, but the committee can think otherwise and reject the applicant. The interview is generally just a vibe-check to verify that the written application is an honest reflection of the applicant and that the applicant has basic soft skills.
Bro I have this question too haha. Cause they say, "oh once you get in the door for an interview with your stats and experiences, everyone is on a level playing field and you deserve to be there". And then you have a stellar interview and get waitlisted. Happened to me a few times this year and it makes NO SENSE. An interviewer literally said to me, "if I was on my deathbed, I would want to be looking up at you caring for me" and then I got a fat middle-tier waitlist. But then why would they be offered an interview in the first place
Wild thing to say lol. I'm sure your interviewer advocated for you, but it's like TheGoodMD says, it's all up to the adcom on your ultimate fate.Bro I have this question too haha. To me it feels like they send mixed signals, and everything is so wrapped in enigma.
It's because they interview too many people. I raised this issue and the answer was basically because they can and it's a sellers market. But then why would they be offered an interview in the first place
Yeah that's my point. It feels kinda all over the place with the info I receive haha.Whoever told you that there is a level playing field following the interview invite has provided you with erroneous information. The staircase analogy is a better description of how the selection process works.
There's usually an II wave after decision dayare they done with interviews? it says through April but haven't heard anything about march interviews
I interviewed yesterday but it was also because the doctor originally interviewing me had an emergency and my interview was rescheduled. But I think they’re still interviewing? I’m not sure if they’re still sending invites thoughare they done with interviews? it says through April but haven't heard anything about march interviews
If I had to guess, I would assume everyone prior to February 14th. They sent an email maybe early Feburary? mentioning a save the date for March 7th? (IIRC) for accepted students and that they were sending that email to all students who interviewed before Feburary 14th. Honestly, it's safe to say no one knows the exact answer. We are all neurotic premeds who find solace in posting on a forum like this!Do we know if they release at the same time for all completed interviews? Eg. would a Jan/Feb interview hear tomorrow as well, or will it mostly be people who interviewed early in the cycle? And are all decisions released at once or is it A then WL then R type deal? Sorry if this has already been answered haha
Take this with a grain of salt because I heard this from med students, but at my info session yesterday they said we’d hear back tomorrowDo we know if they release at the same time for all completed interviews? It’s never been phone calls so I’d expect emailsDoes anyone know if they do phone calls or if it's mass emails at a certain time tomorrow?

I hope you are wrong 😭Just guessing
its always 9AM somewherewell then...it's past 9
I think it will be today though because they have virtual chats for admitted students starting tomorrowI just reread the email they sent back in January and it states “will be mailed to interviewed MD candidates beginning March 5”. So I guess this means it can be anytime after today…. 😭
They're likely sending one A wave today and then after that are WLI just reread the email they sent back in January and it states “will be mailed to interviewed MD candidates beginning March 5”. So I guess this means it can be anytime after today…. 😭
