UT sent out notices saying the class is full and waitlist movement is unlikely at this point. Thoughts on whether there will be any movement in June though mid July?

There will be SOME movement but if the notice has gone out, that typically means that your odds have dramatically plummeted (to near zero). Not impossible that someone drops out and the 1 (one) individual that is top of the list gets a call but if they sent out the notice, it means that they believe they have a full class. The next move if you were on the wait list and did nto gain an "A" is to meet with Dean Fulton and ask, "what exactly do you need to see from me in the next year to guarantee my acceptance?"

Edit--then next year (soon) when you have your interview, you can say--"Dean Fulton outlined these steps--A, b,c...and I have done them all". May be as simple as increasing your MCAT, or as much as get a post-Bac or Masters. I have heard of cases where students have been told, "you went to an iffy college, get a Masters" or "you went to a known very hard college and made only fair grades--we need to see a few A's.". The most common is "get your MCAT up a bit". I do know for a fact that if you are given steps AND do them, your odds skyrocket. Being waitlisted is not bad. You are admiss-able. Show interest and fix the (likely one or 2) things that kept you out! You did not fail, you missed the target by a tiny fraction. this is a different conversation than an individual who did not get waitlisted.

My opinion on your last post: applicants who got that email saying the class is full should first find out if post-application feedback appointments are available after the end of the cycle, and the question to ask is "how can I make my application stronger for U of Tennessee?" Wording it as "What do you need to see to guarantee my acceptance?" is a bit brash and might not be taken well.

UTHSC offers those appointments to all non-successful candidates. Thank you for polishing up my statement--I did not intend it to be literal, I intended that to be the sentiment.
