No, they could, they overfilled the year prior by having 318 matriculate. When that happens, the school usually asks students to defer their acceptance which results in next years class having to be smaller.

My interview is in a few days and I just realized I did the timezone conversion wrong and signed up for the AM track. Depending on how early it starts I'll need to wake up in the middle of the night. Do y'all think its worth it to try to reach out to see if I can potentially switch (probably not huh?). Feeling real dumb rn.

Either your faculty interviewer or student interviewer is new to interviewing- so they have a “shadower” who’s more experienced to make sure they do everything properly

Another school I interviewed at said they would randomly pick 100 people to go through at every adcom meeting. Maybe our names hasn't been drawn yet or if it has and we're not rejected yet maybe they can't make a decision yet and they bump it to the next adcom meeting.

Pretty sure they have been released at the same time from what it sounds like. That’s how it was last Thursday anyways.
