Hey everyone, I interview on wednesday and was wondering if anyone can give any advice or any guidance on how the process was for them. Like mostly just in terms of the structure of the day and how the overall experience was. Also, I haven't gotten the specific time of my interview yet so I am getting a little worried, so I am also wondering if that is normal lol. Any help would be much appreciated!!!

Typically the time of your interview and who your interviewers are show up a day or two before, so don’t sweat it just yet. There’s a good chance your med student will only be available at 6PM, but otherwise everything happens one after the other on whatever track you chose. The way the system is set up is very intuitive. MMI questions are not hard and more focused on yourself, and the faculty was very chill and candid about what questions he was required to ask. While it’s clear these people are tired from the end of the year shenanigans they still give you their full attention and thoroughly read all of your application. They just want to know you more. be yourself, you got this!!

I would also suggest that you know Detroit well, both generally and personally

Echoing all that was said here. I really enjoyed my experience interviewing with Wayne. Every person I interacted with during the MMI was personable and kind. Same with the faculty and student interviewers. You'll be fine! Have fun 🙂
 
Hi friends, I'm going to withdraw early instead of holding the A after I heard back from my own in-state school, I have no ties to Detriot and can't see myself practicing medicine there after med school. I hope it goes to one of you who will serve the area! 😀
