IS A! interviewed 9/22

Yeah, I think yesterday was the first day of people getting waitlisted overall. I mean, a majority of people had their interviews for this school. So, I think it is the first day they actually acknowledged waitlist. Very different compared to last cycle, imo.So many people got waitlisted yesterday according to admit
very different in what sense?Yeah, I think yesterday was the first day of people getting waitlisted overall. I mean, a majority of people had their interviews for this school. So, I think it is the first day they actually acknowledged waitlist. Very different compared to last cycle, imo.
Like I have noticed, through looking at various sources like cycletrack or admit, that the first day they acknowledged waitlist last year was Oct.16th and that was interspersed with admissions. This time around, I think they have been doing strictly acceptances and rejections so far. Yesterday, I believe, was the first day that they acknowledged waitlists (I'm getting this impression by looking at this forum thread, as well as cycletrack and admit).very different in what sense?
yeah that's true I also noticed from their website that they only gave 47 new admission offers yesterday.Like I have noticed, through looking at various sources like cycletrack or admit, that the first day they acknowledged waitlist last year was Oct.16th and that was interspersed with admissions. I email them about letter of interest yesterday and they told me yes, they accept and to upload it in the portalDoes anyone know whether Wayne takes letter of intent? I'm seeing mixed things. They only explicitly state "up to 5 updates" in the portal, but I have seen that people have sent intent in the past. Thanks!
Standard MMI and interview questions. I guess it could depend on your interviewers but both my faculty and med student were very chill and conversational. I could tell the faculty actually at least glanced at my application so that was nice too.I am interviewing in few weeks and was wondering if anyone can share their experience, if it was conversational, and if the questions like standard interview questions. Very excited for it!

Comparison is the thief of joy, stay positive!I know many factors go into med school admissions and nothing is guaranteed, but haven't gotten an II yet and was really hoping to 🙁 All of my other IS applicants friends irl have gotten an II and I'm starting to lose hope...do I still have a chance?
Thanks! Would you say the MMI questions were normal or was there any difficult ones?Standard MMI and interview questions. I would say practice MMI questions if you haven’t, know your application, and just try to relax and be yourself for the one-on-one interviews.
Four years of suffering and then an MD+1 OOS A interview 10/27, received on last wave of acceptances
Anyone know what Wayne gives out as a welcome gift to their new students? Like stethoscopes or computers?
i would love to know this lolDo they send IIs out all at one time or do they come in throughout the day usually?
Yes pretty normal, can’t say much more. I would practice common MMI questions you find online. I would also recommend timing yourself to know if you need to expand your answers more or be faster. Thanks! Would you say the MMI questions were normal or was there any difficult ones?
"summer" between M1/M2 in march is about 2 weeks off. but once you are an M2, you leave in December for winter break and dont come back until march for rotations. Many students will take STEP a month early in February or even January if you're feeling bold- and use those extra months for research or travel. The time from leaving for winter break and coming back in March is yours to self-studyquick question for any current students -- it looks like the curriculum is ~1.5yr preclinical. does this not allow for a summer research opportunity between M1/M2? if not, do students typically conduct research throughout the academic year? just asking since i was interested in having a dedicated few weeks for such programs. TIA!
We were told on my interview day that it is allowed but you will not need to because they’re quick promptsHI! Question for those who have interviewed, during the MMI portion, will we be allowed to have scratch paper to jot down notes during the prep portion of the MMI? Or is that not going to be allowed?
Unless you have anxiety like me and can’t remember anything because your brain was moving to fast to remember the prompt, in which case the little notes were helpful to meWe were told on my interview day that it is allowed but you will not need to because they’re quick prompts
Sounds good, thank you so much!We were told on my interview day that it is allowed but you will not need to because they’re quick prompts

nah mine was the same and I got waitlisted so they know on their side that you did itThe Interview Portal on AMP is still not showing the completion of the faculty and student interviews and it's been over 24 hrs now. Anyone having the same thing or should I email them?
I hope you hear back the good news soon 🙂 How long do they take to send decisions after interviewing?nah mine was the same and I got waitlisted so they know on their side that you did it
That’s what I’m tryna find out 😭I hope you hear back the good news soon 🙂 How long do they take to send decisions after interviewing?
Mine was 10 days from interview to waitlist. Pretty quick turnaround for me but seems like others are experiencing longer timesThat’s what I’m tryna find out 😭
My interview was in August so they couldn't send it until October 15th but I got mine in late November.I hope you hear back the good news soon 🙂 How long do they take to send decisions after interviewing?
Mine was 7 days from interview day and they accepted me I think it truly varies! (OOS, no ties)I hope you hear back the good news soon 🙂 How long do they take to send decisions after interviewing?
hoping that's not the case this yearRecently received an II and scheduled for 01/30. I’m a little nervous as in last years thread people were saying any interview after thanksgiving is an automatic waitlist. As people hear back, I would appreciate some insight!
