[FONT=georgia,serif]UCSD Med/Peds is proud to announce that we are hosting the second annual Western Regional Med/Peds conference on Saturday, April 30. We are excited to continue what we hope becomes an annual tradition among the Med/Peds residency programs here in the west.

[FONT=georgia,serif]We would like to invite all Med/Peds residents as well as interested faculty and medical students to UCSD's campus for this day-long conference:.

[FONT=georgia,serif]WHERE: UCSD campus in La Jolla, CA, at the "15" Conference Room (directions and maps will follow in a future e-mail).

[FONT=georgia,serif]WHEN: Saturday, April 30, 2011. 09:00 – 15:30..

[FONT=georgia,serif]WHO: all Med/Peds residents as well as interested faculty and medical students (MS3-4).

[FONT=georgia,serif]HOW MUCH: $10 for NMPRA members. $15 for everyone else..

[FONT=georgia,serif]We are excited to bring back the popular Case Conference Showcase! .
[FONT=georgia,serif]We would like to invite all those who are interested in participating to submit an abstract (please limit to 150 words) via the website or by e-mail (see below). Your case should in some way exhibit some unique aspect of med/peds. The actual presentation should be about 10 minutes followed by 5 minutes for questions. .
[FONT=georgia,serif]As an example, last year's case conference discussed mitochondrial disorders, congenital pulmonary malformations, and occult adult congenital heart disease..
