Hi guys!
I am planning on applying to medical school for the second time this year. Last year, I applied to 20 schools and got an interview for one (University of Washington, which is my state school). I was looking for your guys' opinions if I should apply again this cycle or just wait another year to improve my application, such as my volunteer hours. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
These are my stats:
cGPA=3.84
sGPA = 3.81
MCAT = 512
Activities
-Medical assistant at a private oncology clinic (paid clinical) = 2000+ hours
- Student research assistant = 800 hours (1.5 years)
- Shadowing = 40 hours total among three doctors
- Hospital volunteer (clinical volunteer) = 105 hours (6 months)
- Young adults shelter volunteer (non-clinical volunteer) = 150 hours
- Soccer coach for 1 year
- Sunday School teacher for 1 year
