I am so stressed out...my GPA is 2.8 and I am trying so hard to raise it...this is my second time taking organic chem and I am getting a C again....I had a C the first time and this would be my second C..for this class.what should I do?? should I take the C...i am scared it will bring my GPA down...i have like 6 W's already...I already have a B.S. in biology and minored in chemistry...please give me some suggestions...I would appreciate it. I have not applied to Pharm school get, I was but I was scared to apply and waste money and then get reject...I am hoping to raise my GPA but I don't know with this C in organic chem.

why dont u retake sthing really easy so u can definitely bring ur gpa up?? ie...if u always ace psych...take another psych class and that'll count toward ur overall gpa?

Either option isn't very good for you. Is there any way you can bring that up to a B? Really think about why you are getting a C again. What are you not understanding or spending enough time on? Also try using a GPA calculator to see how much it would change your GPA. I'm guessing it will be hard to change your GPA because you have a lot of credits.

You should get a tutor. Really give it all you've got and try to get that grade up. If pharmacy school is really what you want, then you have to work hard to raise that grade.

Good luck!🙂

Getting a C the second time around is going to look bad especially in an important class like that, and taking a W will look bad, I am sure there is a still a Final left that is heavily weighted, find a tutor and study groups and ace the final. I think everyone has been in the situation where they needed the final to save their grade in course. I agree with above poster that bringing GPA up through easy classes is a good idea but at same time if you have Cs in a lot of prereqs you need to change that also, adcoms are not dumb they are going to see if a GPA only came up because a bunch of 100-200 level psych or anthro classes were taken.

if this makes u feel better, i took cell bio 3 times and got a C- each time. The fourth time I retook it I got an A-. Like everyone said, keep trying. I would recommend not to take ochem with any other science courses (like bio, physics or whatever); just take it with other GE classes so you can actually focus on ochem alone. You dont need to get an A+ on your GE classes btw.
