is there first-yearitis?
have a physio exam tomorrow. 4 of the lectures I know basically nothing about; didn't go to the classes, don't want to memorize the notes cause they're in paragraph form and really poorly written. not interested in the topic. Basically know nothing about it, don't even have the energy to study for it the night before (usually I start freaking out and hit the books hard but not this time). go to a p/f school, my grade is solid, could not care less if I miss half those questions..
definitely feel for you second-years though, I am not looking forward to second semester next year..
You're feeling some burn out, and that's completely normal. So long as you are not putting your 'passing' at risk, then you're ok. The only other thing is if the physio you're choosing to ignore now is required to know to be able to learn a section of pathophys next semester, you might have to make up for the loss of knowledge later.
Otherwise, you are fine. In a sense, whenever you study for any exam, you have to triage the material (maybe not entire lectures but certainly sections of lectures) and pick and choose what will and won't go into your short term memory for the exam. In this case, your triage is a bit more in bulk, but at this point, you are triaging energy and motivation to get you through the rest of the semester, with your #1 priority set at: DO NOT FAIL! everything else is just a bonus 🙂
