Hello!

I am looking to gauge my chances at the following schools:
-Burrell
-LECOM (Bradenton or Eerie)
-Alabama COM
-West Virginia
Basically, just tell me where to apply, and tell me if I have a decent chance.

Bio:
I am a nontraditional applicant. I just turned 25 this past March, and I have been out of school for the last two years. I graduated with a degree in math education, and taught for one year in a high school before trying out elementary education. I worked as a teaching assistant for a district for a year to get a deeper understanding of working with younger children. The reason my science GPA is so high compared to my cumulative is because math courses, which comprised a large portion of my undergraduate courses, is not counted toward the science GPA. Having worked with younger children, I've learned that I very much want to work with them, but in a different capacity. I am pursing medicine with aspirations of becoming a pediatrician because I have seen first hand how a child's health effects his/her ability to function in the classroom and in society as a whole. I plan to apply as soon as possible, since the window opened in May and I'd like to start soon.

Sorry, I forgot to include that information. I'm a Missouri resident. I have 150 documented hours shadowing a DO in St. Louis and a letter of recommendation from him as well as from my Organic Chemistry Professor. I also have 102 documented hours of community service with a road cleanup crew.

You could add these DO schools to your list:
MU-COM
ATSU-KCOM
KCU-COM
ARCOM
NYIT-Arkansas
Are you interested in applying to MD schools ?

Thank you! I would, but I think my stats are too low for MD schools. Also, if I did, the way my science GPA is calculated through AMCAS would shift it from a 3.48 to a 2.97 because they include math courses. If it helps, I had a 4.0 my last year of college. Do you think I stand a good shot at getting into at least one DO school?

You should receive several DO interviews if you apply to at least 10 schools. It is worth applying top your Missouri state public MD schools with your MCAT score.
