I am currently in my year off and applying now. My application has been verified and I have submitted to a couple of schools already. I plan on only applying for MD this cycle. I would really appreciate some insight on what my chances are really like and which schools would be most reasonable for me to apply to!

Thank you!!!

I think your best bet is applying IS only and add DO schools. Ik you said MD only, but this is your best chance. I don't think you have a very good chance OOS or at private schools to be honest.

Apply to U Arizona (Phoenix and Tuscon) and also consider these schools:
Quinnipiac
New York Medical College
Oakland Beaumont
Western Michigan
Medical College Wisconsin
Rosalind Franklin
Creighton
It would be a good strategy to apply to at least 6 DO schools and you have AZCOM and ATSU-SOMA in AZ.

I would have said the same but idt OP has the volunteerwork/*long-standing commitement to* community involvement that most of these schools look for
