Obviously, I'm not very good at booking interviews. I just realized that I booked 3 interviews in 4 days, all in different states (Penn State, Albany, Ohio). Has anyone done 3 interviews in different states in the same week before? If so, were you way too tired during the trip and would not recommend it? Should I move one of my interviews to a different week? If so, I hope to move Penn State. Does anyone know how flexible Penn State is regarding a change of interview date? (I would call but the office is closed right now)

If you have them in the order listed (PS, A, O) and your day off is in between Albany and Ohio (which one in Ohio, by the way?), you will be okay. Hershey to Albany is a hike, but doable in a day. Driving all the way across NY to get to Ohio will take a moment...

If not, I think changing may be good...

Good luck in any event.

I had 3 interviews within 4 week days of each other and it wasn't bad at all. But the order they were in was very convenient. I had Albany on a Thursday then took a bus to Boston that night. Had BU on Monday then Tufts on Tuesday. It was nice to just bang them out like that but it sounds like your time constraint might be a bit more pressing than mine was. Could you squeeze a weekend in there somewhere?

let me provide more information:

Sunday: Fly from SFO to penn State
Monday: Penn State interview.
Tuesday: Fly from penn to albany, NY
Wed: Albany interview. Fly from Albany, NY to Toledo, OH
Thurs: Interview at Med col of ohio. Fly from OH to SFO

doable?

it's definitely doable, though it'll cost you a fortune since Harrisburg, Albany, and Toledo are expensive places to fly into. A couple of suggestions: Fly into Detroit instead of Toledo... much much cheaper... Use your frequent flyer miles if you have them... and finally: don't check baggage.

If you need any more info about Toledo, PM me... I'm a native.

I did three in four days:

Flew Monday to Philly
Temple interview on Tuesday
Jefferson interview on Wednesday
Flew Wednesday night to New Orleans
Tulane interview on Thursday

It was not a very pleasant experience. It was definitely doable, but by the time I got to Tulane, I was exhausted and I just wanted to go home.

i did 3 a week for 3 straight weeks. at the end, i wanted to hit my head against the wall. however, if you're only going to do one week of it, it's totally doable. i didn't start falling apart until week 2.

Yep..I made that mistake as well.....I had 3 interviews in 3 days.......so basically all I was doing was finishing one interview ...going to the airport .... sleeping in a hotel.....next day another interview....back to airport...you get the picture......the interviews were in Detroit, Cleveland, and Durham ....

It is doable and after I was done it felt good to get three interviews over with in as many days to tell you the truth.......

I haven't done as many in a row as you guys, but I'm finding that I'm in the airport every two weeks. I really know my way around now! The other day I was stressing out, so I had my roommate call out for random people to answer the white courtesy phone. I felt more relaxed after that.

Yep, go for lots of caffiene, but get some water in there too and try not to only eat fast food all day. Remember, if you do your interviews like that, they'll be over soon. Try not to spill coffee on your suit jacket!

:luck:

I did three in three days. Flew to ohio one day, flew back down that day and drove down to southern VA to interview the next day, then drove back up and interviewed the next day in DC. Life sucks
