3r a reliable practice test?

i took 3R yesterday just to see how much i need to study for the april mcat, and what subjects. now that i have scored it, i'm not sure if it is accurate, i got a 29 on it, and i havent done much studying at all yet. when u took it, was ur score on this test higher than on other practice tests?

I think 3R was way too easy. 6R and 7 are a bit tougher and hence a bit more like the real thing in my opinion.

I got the same thing on 3r and the real thing. I took 3r after a small amount of studying and about 2 months before the real thing. So I would say the real thing is more challenging, unless I didn't improve at all over those 2 months.

I think that the 3r score is fairly accurate. However, I do think that the test itself is easier. My 3r score was also the same as my real MCAT

From reading other posts, (and my own opinion) most people agree that 3r was easier than pretty well all the other MCAT tests they took (and of course the real thing). Most people take 3r before they have started studying seriously, so it would not be surprising if you scored the same on this preliminary test (before studying) and the real thing (after studying for a couple of months). I myself took 3r before studying and then studied for 2 months and scored 3 points higher on the actually MCAT.

Bottom line: 3r really is easier than later MCAT admininstrations. 29 is a great start, but don't get overconfident. Study hard, and you should do just fine on the real thing.
