I made a hot-streak of careless (sleep-deprived) mistakes on my last Stats midterm and ended up with a 62 (class average of 74); just horrible🙁. Realistically (with all the calculations done), I don't see myself getting anything higher than a B in the class now. I'm tempted to drop because I know I could have gotten an A in the course (got a 92 on my first midterm, same class average). I would normally drop, but this would be my third "W". Also, this would be the second quarter that I would be dropping from 13 units (just barely full-time) to 8 (not full-time). (I feel like this looks even worse than withdrawing a class from what is considered a full load of around 16 to a still full-time load of 12.)

I would appreciate any advice. Thanks in advance.

Obvious troll is obvious.

Okay, reality check. Do not take a W in place of a B. As long as you pass the class, its good enough, especially since its not usually considered to be in the group of major pre-req courses. Another W is harder to explain than a B (or even a C). Accept the consequences of being sleep deprived and not doing as well as you wanted. There is nothing remotely wrong with a B in stats.

How do people know? people on here are way to paranoid...the thought of the OP being trolling had not even crossed my mind.

I got a few percentage points lower than my class average OH NOES what will I EVER DO. Might as well drop the course now and withdraw. Sounds a bit like over-the-top pre-med to me... or a potential troll.

OP, you cannot be serious. Take the B, B-, or C+. It's going to be better than three W's on your transcript. As the above poster said, it is not a science core. Explaining that you kind of dropped the ball on one final in a semester is not as bad as explaining that you were doing so badly (or you were so paranoid) that you withdrew from the course.

I had around 6 W's or so on my transcript, but I had a justifiable reason for them. It dosen't look like you do here. Probably best to try and scrap out a B.

Are you sure you did your calculations right? ...62% sure? lol

...sorry I just couldn't resist.

Why on earth would you take a withdraw rather than a B?
