If I'm planning to take 3 science courses per semester, can you Please suggest me what would me a better mix..?i'm changing to bio major. When I saw the courses I have to take as bio major I felt kind of safe to see if med school its for me not because this courses are extremely high or anything but compare it to my last major I think with bio i'm more prepared(My opinion) ~with biochem major courses my face turned from this🙂 to 😱 lol

Organic Chemistry I
Organic Chemistry II
Biochemistry
Genetics
Evolution
Cell Biology
Molecular Biology
Biology Seminar
Developmental Biology
Physics 1
Physics2
There were more science classes but im already done with those

If I have to take orgo and physics I don't think I can handle 3 science classes.😳 But I just want to have an idea.
Thank you🙂

OchemI,Physics I, Genetics is doable though you will be busy. Not sure how many other combos in there can work do to pre-reqs needed for some of the classes.

Okay thank you.

Okay thank you.
You can handle ochem and physics together, just pair it with an 'easier' third course such as evolution. I personally love ecology/evolution so i'm biased when I say it's easier. People fear physics/ochem going into it for some reason, because they are hyped as impossible courses by people who have taken them before us, and then advise us on the horrible adversities we will face when we embark on some voyage to take the classes. I don't think this is true. Ochem/physics are both really interesting subjects, and physics I (mechanics) is not bad at all.

I suppose I don't know your academic history, but i'm advising you as if you are a student who does well in school with not too great of difficulty.

Take Biochem after ochem. This semester you could take ochem, molecular bio, and evolution and be totally fine also. Don't stress too hard about this. Just don't take biochem before you finish ochem or cell/molecular biology, if your program even allows that.

You can definitely do physics, ochem, and an easier bio course for sure. If you cannot, medical school will be a rough road! I say go for it dude, challenge yourself as long as it doesn't destroy your GPA!

Hard to advise on this specifically, unless you want to break down the time you have left (are you a freshman?) and which classes are available when.

Generally, though, yes, managing multiple science classes is hard but doable, and will give you a good idea of the work required to succeed in med school. Just don't let your GPA slip.

I crammed three science classes per semester in for most of undergrad so that I could pull off a year abroad. It was hard, but definitely a valuable experience. I do recommend trying to pair two 'hard' classes with an easier one, or adjusting your non-science classes to compensate. Good luck!
