You can remove schools such as Washington State (matriculated only 3 non residents), Cooper Rowan, Virginia Tech since they strongly prefer their own residents.

Ok I see your point with Cooper Rowan and Virginia Tech. I put washington down because although only 3 OOS matriculated, there weren't very many OOS applying, and they interviewed 20% of OOS students and overall accepted around 2%...so those percentages seemed appealing because usually i see around 1% OOS accepted and 5-8% interviewed.

also would you say that its okay to mostly apply to schools in which my mcat score and/or my GPA is within the 50-75 percentiles or should i be applying to schools with lower stats? i feel that most of the OOS friendly schools are pretty competitive and i don't have stats good enough to give me "safety" options.

Hi, I would appreciate any input on my list of schools. I currently have 30 schools and am trying to shorten it to 25. I am a California resident, attended undergrad on the east coast. I am applying this cycle, and therefore will be taking a gap year in which I will be working as a scribe and part-time tutor.
