Can anyone tell me if it is possible to accept a spot on a waitlist once you begin attending another school? My first choice school doesn't start until mid August wheras the school I am accepted to starts in early July.
My wife and I talked it over and we'd be willing to go to my first choice school even if it means forfiting a year's tuition at this other school (my first choice school is a state school and significantly cheaper than the school I'd be attending, plus we own a house in that city and my wife has a good job there).
Could I even realisticly do this or is there some rule against accepting a waitlist spot while attending another medschool? If there is such a rule where is it mentioned? On the AMCAS website?
