Hey SDN,

I had an interview @ ASDOH on 9/24, and yesterday I got a letter in the mail stating that I am still being considered for 2014. Does that mean:

1) You arent rejected yet and we are just letting you know that and you still have a shot for December 1st,

or

2) You aren't rejected yet but you won't hear back from us for a while because you aren't really a priority yet.

Which is it?

Hey there fellow anteater,

I'd say it's probably just a confirmation, and let you know you're being considered. But, without knowing the rest of the context of the letter, it could mean that you're being put in a stack to look at for second or third round of acceptances, but don't worry, it's only been a week.

I don't think dental schools are allowed to give acceptance until December 1st, so of course you're "still being considered."

Didn't they explain this at the interview?

It is more a question of an agreement by ds through the ADEA than "not being allowed" to jump the gun on acceptances before Dec. 1.
