I have my heart set on WVSOM. I love the town, the facilities, and the community that the school itself creates for the students. I've been lucky enough to get an insider's view to the school because my brother-in-law just started MS-3 there. I want to practice rural medicine in Appalachia so I also applied to PCSOM.

Going there this year man!!! I'm pumped. I got into PCOM, NYCOM and LECOM and picked WVSOM. I had a friend from undergrad (NYU) who went there..totally reeled me in. Plus, a couple of visits helped me fall in love little!

Received a postcard from WVSOM today, informing me that my application has been reviewed and is on hold. I imagine they're waiting for my MCAT scores and LORs before making a final decision. (WVSOM only sends secondaries to those they interview)

At least it's not a flat rejection. 👍

sorry to dredge this thread up but how's everyone doing? How's the news JKDMed? I'm doing my interview at Western tomorrow afternoon. so excited. egh. this is my second visit to the campus tho.

I'm starting to think that maybe I should've sent my MSUCOM secondary back. 🙁 I'm out-of-state so I'd have to at least pass that first right? Damn! What was I thinking? Oh I remember now....I needed the secondary $$ for something....oh well. I wonder if they would let me send it in now. Any thoughts? I'm way past the deadline. Like a month past.

If you don't apply, you'll never know. That beiong said, be aware that they have their calss filled by December, and only 20% can be out of state. I'd try, but don't get your hopes up too high. Good Luck!!!!!

eh, it was a difficult one... it was my first interview, but I was expecting questions that I had prepared for but when it came to the interview, which was a one on one, I had lots of personal little questions that caught me off guard. All I can say is that im glad im done cuz ill get to know by Wednesday if I got in or not. anyways- good luck. ill probably post my interview feedback tomorrow.
