Hey is anyone aware on how to print/get a pdf of your Fee Waiver? I know that for most schools, in order to be eligible for the waiver for secondaries, you need to send a copy of your accepted fee waiver. I only know that I received the waiver because I received an email in my AACOMAS file that said I received it. There is nowhere that I can view the accepted waiver as a PDF or anything. Maybe I should contact them? Or maybe that option would become available once my application is verified and/or sent to the schools?

Did you happen to get an answer to this?

Unfortunately not yet... I am imagining it is going to take, talking to the schools themselves, once secondaries are sent.

I was planning on just taking a screen shot of the message and converting it into a PDF since it has my name and application ID in the message. Guess I shouldn't do that.

That's what I did and it worked. I think it was either for AZCOM or KCOMB that required a faxed copy of my waiver.

but where do you even get the waiver?? Like there is no option on my application to get like see the actual waiver... that I am aware of...

All I know is sent them my tax return with the waiver application. They then sent me an email and said that I got the waiver and that it would be applied on my account after x days blah blah. When I go to click on the waiver, there is just the option to again print out the application form.

I printed the message they sent me via the support link on aacomas. I'm pretty sure all the schools get a list of students who are qualified for the waivers. I only had to submit maybe 2 waivers out of 13 secondaries I completed. Other schools just asked me if I qualified and then applied it on my secondary (im sure after they confirmed it).

Fantastic, that is the plan then!

A few schools websites made it sound as though schools get a list of students that received the waiver. I think there might be a spot on the secondary to indicate that you have a waiver and they'll then be able to cross check with their list.

Hey y'all, what's a good turnaround time for secondaries?

Early as possible! I gave myself a 1 week deadline. But that is not to say you can't take 2 weeks. You want them out early as possible so it can be reviewed and have an interview offered asap. But I would not sit on a secondary for more than a month.

When making changes to aacomas application, is the timeline from last year still correct?

Any changes to the app made before Tuesday are updated and released to schools on Thursday of the same week?
Not sure if someone answered but, straight from AACOMAS:
"All newly verified applications and any application updates that are completed by Tuesday morning are sent once a week, on Tuesday morning and made available to the colleges on Wednesday. You will not see the release date of your application for a few days (until approximately Thursday afternoon) to allow time for the colleges to download the application/data. Please note, the colleges have varying schedules for downloading and acting upon applications."

In addition, after we're verified, if I need to update my activities/work experiences, do I update and save and leave it or do I submit and send it out again after I've updated everything? How do you officially update your app?
Also, I've read some where on here that we have a "limited" number of updates we can send out to the schools. Is this true? </dumbquestions>

Just wondering if I make an edit/addition to one of EC's description, will it be flagged that I changed something after submitting? I submitted my application but I am not verified yet.

Did you all get automated secondaries already? I received 2 invitations to secondaries yesterday...but aacomas still says my application is "verified". Anyone experiencing the same thing?

Could you please let us know the secondaries for which schools have you received? From my knowledge MSUCOM, ATSU-KCOM, SOMA-KCOM

1. ATSU-KCOM
2. MSU
3. CUSOM- email notification that they received application, not a secondary after reading email more.

Is it worth it to edit my EC description to make it clear that I shadowed a DO ? It will be marked on my application that I edited my application after submission. I'm stupid and forgot to include the Dr.'s name and specialty. I only shadowed one and have a letter from him. @Goro

if you have a letter from him, then dont worry. It will make it clear for the schools once they read his letter and find out that he is a DO.

These are the schools that gave you secondaries so far?

I just found out most schools do not consider a LoR from a Math professor to meet a Science LoR requirement. Am I crazy and it's always been like this?

It makes sense in the fact that your math courses are not included in your science GPA on AACOMAS.

May sound like a dumb question, but do you know if you one of the science LoRs have to be from professors you took? Meaning if I did volunteer work for a couple years for a science professor, would that satisfy it?

The point of an academic science LOR is to be a prof who taught you. So yes must be a prof who taught you.

This is weird: my aacomas status next to schools has now changed from released (date) to submitted to aacomas.. What does this mean? I still cannot see my gpa or reports that were released to schools :s

Yes I am getting emails from some schools now.. lol that is weird. But, I really want to see what my final gpa and entire app looked like before I complete and submit secondaries.

I understand but if you are getting secondaries I would submit them you can look on the school specific to see requirements and good luck

When is aacomas changing verified to submitted?! Waiting for an updated app for GPA purposes lol

I emailed about that Monday and was told it would be updated this week

I received emails from a few schools about secondaries and a few of them said that your AACOMAS ID is supposed to be on the letters of recommendation that you submit...I already had a few people upload letters to Interfolio before I knew that and feel bad asking them to redo letters with my ID number. I changed the name of the documents on Interfolio to included my AACOMAS ID, but I'm not sure if that will show up when I send them to schools....anyone have any thoughts or advice on this?

When you open the PDF file via Interfolio you, your aacomas ID will post with the letter head sent to schools! You should be fine @hello1876

Sorry, can you clarify this further? Are you saying that when we send letters to schools via interfolio, our aacomas ID will appear to the schools?

When delivering the documents to each school, you will have the option to associate an ID with it prior to paying and sending the LORs.

My schools listed now have the pdf and state the date they were sent to schools. I noticed that schools have varying courses included under the course record. Are the classes (and GPA) under the course record section what they will emphasize when looking at your app?

those are the classes they require I believe. So for some people it will indicate that they need to take one of those courses. But since they are the required courses, I am sure they will be considered heavier than other courses.

How do you officially update AACOMAS after you've been verified? Do you just edit, save, and leave it or do you edit, save, and submit it again?

Yes, the exception being that you cannot edit your classes.

But you can continue to do stuff and add to your application.

Do schools look at Undergrad science GPA only or do they look at the combined science gpa from GRADUATE and undergrad?

I'm getting kinda irritated. Where do we are our verified GPA?!
You don't get it until after AACOMAS sends your application to the schools, at which point you'll see a downloadable PDF next to each school with a detailed breakdown of your GPA and course reqs met or not met for each school.
