AAMC #8 BS # 100

Can someone explain to me why C is wrong? I felt A was a bit strong of an answer and didn't have any basis in the passage... so narrow to 2 I picked C.

Why the hell doesn't AAMC explain why other answers are wrong. It's just as important, if not more important to know that, especially if you picked one of the wrong answers.

Parathyroid glands = PTH. No PTH = less Osteoclast activity = less bone degredation. Just because there's low plasma calcium doesn't mean all of the "missing" calcium has gone into bone. Most of it will pass through your urine.

A is the best answer because calcium is a major musculoskeletal ion.

Totally brain farted here... and a continued brain fart. Thanks for the clarification, finally clicked where I mixed things up. LESS PTH is where I crossed wires, I messed up a double negative in my thought process.
