Not to resurrect the neuropsychology board wars again but what's the latest sentiment on these other boards compared to ABPP-CN?

There is exactly one adult ABN person I know of in my metro, and he is also ABPP. On second thought, he may have let his ABN lapse.

Not sure about ABN's numbers, but ABPP-CN has been steadily increasing for years.

Edit: His ABN has not lapsed, but he is the only ABN member in my entire state. I was curious and checked a neighboring state, which also has only one active ABN member. These are not small states.

It's a smaller board (s), that seems to be getting smaller as time goes by. Formally recognized in the few states that recognize boards. There remains some big names in their organization. They initially supported Reitan when he was literally locked out of the room during the Houston conference. In more recent years they go along with the HCG, so the only discernible difference is the formal post doc match which remains a complete S show for all parties.

They do seem to lead in some ways. Peds neuro was first recognized by them. Forensic neuro was first recognized by them. If the recent surveys are any indication ABCN is gonna have a forensic specialty just like ABN has had for a decade plus.

They're one of the organizations I hate the least.

Just popping in to say the neuropsych (board, etc) wars are my favotire on this site 😀

Carry on.
